Hello Professor, I was wondering if you can explain why you counted the x from the first ka as negligible. My professor typically did not ignore the x when the ka was only to the negative second power. In other words, he didn't see it as a small enough of a ka for x to be negligible. Is that just up to personal interpretation, or is there a standard rule with that?I'm assuming you ignored it because you wanted to move the video along and the quadratic method gets messy and time consuming?

When I do the quadratic it's giving me both negative answers one is giving me -0.034 and the other one is giving me -1.68 which one should I use?
