the problem is with him is that when we are defensive he goes to centre back position which is too deep and which also negate our offiside traps, somany time he has played attackers onside, he is good when there is no pressure against lo block teams but his games goes down against pressure teams and also against good wingers.

He could be an ideal pivot in a 4-2-3-1 together with rice, that way the defensive responsibilities is not that huge as compared to him being in LB. But I think arteta would never switch their base formation.

He’s effective at that deep/centre back area as he has line breaking passes. It’s similar to how Kroos operated at that area to progress the ball

@@mohammedosman5366 watch his games last season, you will see alot of time he just sits back with centrebacks when defending, he bacs off backs off all the time and take positions with centre backs.
