Hey Tyler, italian guy here, so I can basically understand portuguese I actually installed the game and tried to look at the original text of the sunflowers It reads "+3 de producao se nao houver estrutura dentro de 2 ilhas de distancia" Which actually means "+3 production if there are no structures within 2 islands of distance" which makes much more sense to be fair, especially when there is the upgrade that you got that lets them do the Sunflower Paste by themselves Real fricked up tho. We all called you out saying it meant "on two adjacent island" and we are now changing our minds so easily Truly a youtube comment section moment here.

I reckon the sunflowers mean that there can't be any structure in islands within distance of 2. So either the cow pen or the well was 2 islands away and that probably stopped the production boost.

The way it's worded, it means they get boosted as long as there is at least 2 adjacent islands without sctructures (which, means you can have 2 islands WITH structures, and 2 islands WITHOUT, and still fill the requisite). Obviously there's some translation issue at hand, it's no biggie, but I don't think it's just "weird" wording, it's completely incorrect XD

Ive played the game since you´ve showed it off and ill give you a tip, the sunflowers need to be away from any structures by 2 islands in any of the 6 spaces around it, and im glad you did a penut run, since my first run ive been doing a penut run and they are broken. The best strat is putting apple trees in the center of a circle islands with popsicles and the machines for penuts, with on the four cornor islands having cows and the top and bottom middle islands having penuts, the last two side middle islands having fuel penuts, it creats a massive loop. Doing this with other stuff off to thie side in the same kind of island 9x9 is really efficent, i do it with wheat with silos and such since wheat can make all other recores you need.

The 'adjecent islands' is a radius. So when sunflowers say '2 adjecent islands' it means there can't be structures on any island within two squares of the sunflowers.

I'm pretty sure that the sunflowers only get the 3 production buff if there is no structure within a radius of 2 islands. I have done no testing but that's how the tool tip reads to me.

It has a special wording when it's something to do with radius You just need two islands that don't have any structures, no matter if you already have two others that do. You also GOTTA have islands, empty spaces do not count towards it, as seen by the fisherman shack

I think the sunflower card is trying to say no structures within 2 adjacent islands. So if you plant sunflowers 2 islands with just plants away from a structure then they will give +3 production. This seems like its a way to create a choice in what you want to do with sunflowers. You could either use the machines to process the sunflowers or you could keep them away from structures and produce +3 sunflower seeds. I really enjoy the series and hope you play this again!

i think i understand how sunflower works. basicaly all tiles adjacent to it need to have no strucutures and tiles and tile further need to have no structure, so if you have tile adjecent on the left of sunflowers, tile left from the tile need also be empty, a tile above sunflowers new to be empty and tile above the empty tile need to be empty, think about it as basically a big +

Adjacency is determined by how many blocks away in each cardinal direction something is. If it says nearby or in range in the card description instead it also includes diagonals. Adjacency counts do not count the block the initial item is placed on. Adjacency 1 means you need three blocks in a row, 2 means you need 4, and so on. So with 4 islands in a line you get the sunflower bonus, but only when all structures are on one end, and sunflowers on the other.

I think you should try a pure peanut run, there is a buff that increases everything that yields peanuts, and multiple cow buffs. Surround one medium fence with two barns, one lake, and one island with Crusher, Melter, 1 peanut plant, and the rest popsicles, it will cost no water, and produce insane amount of peanut butter per turn.

To adjacent towels, that means that there cannot be anything that produces within two tiles of it. Meaning you have to have sunflowers 2 tiles away from anything that is producing something

For the Sunflowers it looks like they need to be massively far from all structures for the bonus. Like it’s checking every Island within 2. Which seems totally useless since if you have the money to get that far out, you’re probably not in need of that small a bonus.

For future reference, sunflowers need a 2 island gap, not 2 adjacent islands with no structures. The wording is really bad, but I tested it and you just need two islands between the sunflowers and a structure. (So in a line of 4 islands, if the left most island had a structure and the rightmost island had sunflowers, you would get the production buff).

Look at the islands like a grid system, moving in any direction one island would count as a range of one. So if there can't be structures"within" two islands it means like a' range' of two so a structure couldn't be on ANY of the surrounding islands within a range of 2 from the sunflower Island.

For sunflowers it should be read as "no structures within 2 adjacent tiles" meaning no structures on any tile that is 2 tiles away from the sunflowers. Hope that clears it up!

old vid by 3 days. just got recommended. Im just now finding out about this game, but from my basic understanding of the mechanics you've shown. 2 adjacent tiles. adjacent are + formation, so 2 means it extends outwards 1 tile further. animal pens count as structures. so your cow pen in this case @10:51 blocked the sunflower bonus. i dont think its buggy/incorrectly formatted. just a simple misunderstanding. i noticed the card colors too. black/gray = structures pink = animals green = crops hope this helps!

One thing I’ve noticed while playing with auto sell. If you click next turn before the animation for all your products goes through, they are not in your inventory, and don’t sell at the end of day. So you lose money by skipping turns too fast
