A couple of things. First, for a gun-mounted light, the warrior is just too big. Second, the Olight Odin is extremely interesting (I just bought the latest version), but at about 100 yards out it doesn't follow my red dot. This light is powerful enough to use at that distance. While the Olight is (in my opinion) first class equipment, I wish there was an adjustable lateral mount for the light.

That would be pretty nice to have so you can follow your dot. Definitely a hell of a beam/light

LEPs are super fun, but realistically have no practical use, they are soooooooo narrow. The Warrior X Turbo has a decent sized spill and lights up a whole area
@08pileggi3 жыл бұрын
I definitely agree!! The turbo was a fun kinda ugh I gotta have it type buy 😂😂. But I definitely use my wxt a lot more

@@08pileggi So here in UK my friend has this super powerful LEP, a chinese thing -an 'astrolux' or something? I have the wxt. We went down to a costal path to check them out. It was a great test -a pitch black autumn night with no light pollution from street lights. The LEP is an absolute monster for the length of throw, but too narrow for me. The three tests we tried were: One: sweeping out across the beach, Two: out to sea from a raised hill and Three: along the costal path which is closed in in many parts by huge mature pine trees. Shooting out to sea the LEP won on distance by a very good way, but sweeping around the waves -as a coastguard might if searching for someone in trouble, the wxt won by having a huge cone of light and still had very good distance. Sweeping the beach the LEP was going practically as far as the eye could see but only in a pinpoint spot. The wxt was illuminating a much broader area of sand and really showing its stuff -it appeared to go at least 800 meters if not the km it is claimed to have. On the path the wxt won on every front because all the LEP did was light up a circle 1-2 feet across whereas the wxt flooded the path and lit up the trees. LEPs are genuinely awesome, but the wxt just has that practical side to it. LEPs are new though -they will probably get way better within the next few years. Do you think they will be able to add some 'spill' to them?

@@DJ-eg1zg I definitely think Lep will become a thing that people will go to, there just isn’t enough enough tec yet I feel or maybe it cost to much 🤷🏽♂️. Both have their own purpose for sure!

The throw and build quality are excellent, but idk if I can get used to this tint... You guys think it goes through fog better than a cool tint light?
@08pileggi3 жыл бұрын
In theory it should yes, you’d have less light reflecting back at you as this is a warmer color than the cool blue. The camera never does justice but to the eye it is definitely a halogen color lol bright and focused
@alextaplin73543 жыл бұрын
I hate cool tinted LEDs, the yellowishness on this one is really appealing to me and it definatly would penetrate fog better than any cool light would.
@craw08083 жыл бұрын
When you put this flash light on a weapon and look down range through the scope, the LEP difference is clear. Video still doesn’t do the Odin Turbo justice. It’s excellent to see objects at longer ranges through a scope.
@08pileggi3 жыл бұрын
Yes 🙌🏽 I agree! It’s never easy to fully grasp how bright the lights are being on camera :/

@@hirokawiti4932 the Odin is a badass light!! To me you can’t go wrong. The big thing I would consider is color temperature and what you like. Also they just came out with a “ring” mount so you can carry the Odin easier!

The degree of beam I have no idea 🤷🏽♂️ If I had to guess between 1-3 degree it’s super tight

@@08pileggi I have Weltool w4 560 lumens (degree of beam close to 1 °) 1,782,000 candela. The degree of beam of the Odin Turbo should be a lot bigger because with 330 lumens it has "only" 275,000 candela.

@@pitotopuk ya it’s fairly large at a distance but up close is definitely small! Yours seems super bright!
