Sachlich beschrieben ist der Heck Stick die logische und sinnvolle Erweiterung zur Cajon mit spieltechnischem Anwendungsgewinn.
Emotional betrachtet hat die Cajonwelt sehnsüchtig auf den Heck Stick gewartet. Dieser Stick füllt endlich die Lücke zwischen Drums und Percussion. Mit dem Heck Stick wird die Cajon zum ultra-kompakten Drum-Set. Der Heck Stick übernimmt hierbei die Rolle der Cymbals. Mit eigenem Soundcharakter können hiermit alle Drumgrooves gezaubert werden. Die Schellen können aktiv zwischen geschlossenem und offenem Klang (ähnlich einer HiHat) verstellt werden.
Das Erscheinungsbild des Heck Sticks spricht die gleiche Formensprache wie das Design einer Cajon: Reduktion aufs Wesentliche keine Kompromisse in Sound und Qualität.
Side Kick
In Verbindung mit dem Heck Stick und als selbständiger Percussion-Effekt ermöglicht der Side Kick einen durchsetzungsstarken Click-Effekt, der an den Sound von Kastagnetten oder Claves erinnert.
Typischerweise wird der Side Kick an der Cajonseite befestigt und hier mit der Ferse angespielt. Eine Spielvariante ist das Positionieren des Side Kicks vor dem Spieler um es hier ähnlich einem BD-Pedal anzuspielen. Hierfür wird die Kombination mit einem Drumteppich empfohlen wobei der Side Kick durch die rückseitig aufgebrachten Klettstreifen guten Halt findet. Mehr Infos unter www.schlagwerk.de

From an emotional point of view, the Cajon world has long been waiting for the Heck Stick. This stick finally fills the gap between drums and percussion. With the Heck Stick the Cajon becomes the ultra-compact drum-set. The Heck Stick takes on the roll of the cymbals. All drum grooves can be conjured up with their own sound characteristics as well. The jingles can be actively adjusted between closed and open sound (similar to a HiHat). The image of the Heck Stick speaks the same language as the design of a Cajon: Reduced to the essentials no compromises in sound and quality.
SIDE KICK
Typically, the Side Kick is attached to the side of the Cajon and is played with the heel. One playing variation is to position the Side Kick in front of the player in order to play it similar to a BD-Pedal. @ZSy264 - you can use it as a rimshot, or like a clave. And it´s perfect in combination with the "Heck Stick" (or a handplayed "Sizzleboard" on the leg) to play bossanova grooves. I play the "Side Kick" with my right foot. Greetz, Oliutube

Mein Musiklehrer hat mir immer gesagt, dass ich "kippeln" soll, da es für den Sound und den Rücken besser ist (da man dadurch gerader sitzt)! Ich nehme mein Cajon als Multifunktionswerkzeug - dass heißt, wenn ich z.B. irgendwo mal nicht ran komme, dann stelle ich mich einfach auf mein Cajon... Also mein Cajon hält so einiges aus, dann wird deins dich wohl sicher auch aushalten. :D Gruß Daniel Ps.: Mein Lehrer wiegt auch ca. 95 kg und kippelt für sein Leben gerne! ;)

@shizolein Das ist eine Fine Line Morado - gibt es in 2 verschiedenen Oberflächen (siehe Schlagwerk.de). Die Mocca hat noch mehr Wumms. Aber auch die Night Burl, Wurzel ud Skinwood Modelle sind sehr zu empfehlen. Am besten alles mal anspielen. Zur Aufnahme: Am Anfang sieht man das Mikro (Zoom H2) im Blumentopf. Dezente Kompression und Limiter als Übersteuerungsschutz - das war´s. Wenn das Instrument gut klingt muss man meist nicht mehr viel machen - Schlagwerk halt...

Den Heck Stick kannst Du links oder rechts positionieren. Muss man sich quasi wie einen Schlagzeuger vorstellen: Eine Hand spielt die Hihat (Heck Stick) und die andere konzentriert sich auch Kick und Snare. Zum Beispiel... Auf KZbin sind viele Beispiele zu finden...

i think its kind of a triplet, using the ring and the index finger of thr right hand and the middle with the left. so its something like ring - index - left middle - ring - index - left middle and so on.... i guess... what do you think?

Sagt mal, ich kann mich erinnern, dass mein Lehrer immer gesagt hat, dass man nicht "schaukeln" soll :) Hällt denn so ein Cajon viel aus? Ich hab erst vorgestern mir eins zugelegt. Schlagwerk 2in1 Dark Oak Ich bin halt etwas schwerer und größer, so um die 100kg. Hab da halt immer etwas muffen sausen wenn ich da so schräg drauf sitz :D

welll.. you can use the thumb instead of the index... i think is more dificult, at least for me... and maybe the sideways movementis just to play in that exact sweet spot he found ot o sound even.... my cajon do have spots in which it sound glorious and others in which it sound as shit HAHAHAHAHA cheers!

That is all really cool. Perhaps the next step is making dedicated instruments for each part. Perhaps lining them up around a chair. Maybe you could use stick to increase volume. I'd call such an invention a kit.. for percussions or drums.. A drum kit ! Yes. The drum kit would be revolutionary and would do away with cajons all together !!!

Der Heck Stick ist ja ganz in Ordnung, aber der Side Kick klingt einfach nur sch****. So, als ob man auf einen Gameboy-Knopf drücken würde...BILLIG!
