Oliva Serie V Melanio Maduro Torpedo

This cigar is number #1 for me. I have smoked many different cigars in my cigar smoking time and this one is my favorite. Creamy, excellent smoke output, easy draw, even burn, and nice solid ash. I always keep a few in my humidor. They are also available in Robusto and Churchill vitolas nowdays. Like your review.

this cigar is absolute science! a true enjoyment from start to finish I implore anyone to go to your favorite cigar shop and ask if they have this one in stock. I was lucky to get a box for my birthday which I keep in my humidor but every so often I go by my shop that happens to be 1 if not the best at carrying these and also others. Melanio V series by Oliva, as good as it gets... smoke up my friends this one's for real.

I just tried the original oliva series v last night, it was so complex and strange to me, I felt it was way over my head. A very interesting and entertaining cigar though.

Nice review,Tim! What are your thoughts on The Melanio original if you've had one? I'm a massive fan of The Oliva V (Double Robusto especially) and I've been thinking of picking up some of the Melanio Robusto but I'm pretty sure I'd prefer The Ecuadorian wrapper.You're damn right about the ligero in The Serie V too! I made the mistake of smoking a Serie V DR on an empty stomach once and it put me to sleep for a couple hours afterwards!! That was a mistake I won't be making again!
