I'M BACK !! With an animatic I made last year as I was obsessed with Tracy's creations. I wanted to post this video last year but I wanted to wait until I was over with uni projects (I don't know why).

Honestly, I think this would be the absolute perfect trailer if the entirety of the comics were made into a movie. It gives nothing away, but tells you everything you need to know to be interested. And if you’re already familiar with what happens you recognize every scene and shot! THIS IS SO GOOD

Came back to watch this again and I've gotta say, the transition between Freckle and Rocky's eyes at 1:46 is Devine!! It's my favorite moment in the video, for sure!

If you told me this was going to be the intro for the full length episodes of Season One of the animated series I would believe you. Captures so many little moments and gives you a taste of all the big characters without giving too much away. Amazing.

Okay, WHAT?! Good art begets good art- which is clearly the case with this. The use of moments from the comic, the pilot, and individual artworks is thoughtful and creative, yes- but I think I’m most blown away by your original shot compositions, sense of rhythmic timing, and the artistic connections you’ve drawn between characters. Your love for the Lackadaisy story, for its art, and for the act of creation in general, practically beams through every frame. That, and striking visual arrangement, makes this one of the classiest and most exciting fanworks I’ve had the fortune to find. A glorious ride and unmitigated delight from beginning to end- thank you so much for creating and sharing! (PS: I keep editing this, but I also love that you based your character renders on their designs in the comic. An especially nice touch!)

1:39 to 1:42 transition is so good. Ivy being scared holding a gun and nervous to it shifting to Freckle being so cold and focused, its a jarring difference in the way they take the world of bootlegging. Im reading into that part so much just because I really love the transition ok.

I think it's kind of fate irony: girl who engaged in bootlegging last years and happily participates in it is afraid of to pick up a gun, but law keeping guy is crazy about idea to shoot someone, but disagrees with bootlegging. Alright, I'm probably late to this due to my early reluctance towards commenting on videos and you'll probably not see this, but my GOD this blew out of the water! I just LOVE the details, from the transitions to comic references and how the scenes match the lines. I love how the marigold flower's red contrasts with the achromatic scheme, as well as the blood, and I love that you incorporated some lines from the pilot to this animatic without making it sound out of place! I especially love the transitions like the contrast between the cheery and business-booming speakeasy to Mitzy lying her head on the empty table with a desolate speakeasy instead, the transition between Ivy's scared face as she shakily holds a gun then to Freckle's predatory eyes! Anything beyond 2:04 is just my absolute favourite. I might've even missed out on some other amazing points. Tl;dr: this is an amazing animation on Lackadaisy. I can see that you're a massive fan to Lackadaisy. Any praise I've said might've been an understatement. Keep up the good work!
