The lousy corporate media is saying this man’s music is devisive, yet I’m watching the most positive and wonderful reactions across the most diverse spectrum of people that it’s made me literally cry in positive and, at the same time, sad way. As a retired, old, mean Master Sergeant, USMC, I’m blown away beyond belief.

The mainstream media is just another part of our government at this point. They want us divided. I can’t believe there are still people out there falling for it. But… I see a lot of people waking up to it and that’s awesome

I'm 67 and I remember starting every school day with the Pledge of Allegiance and prayer. They took it out and shut God out of our country. That was the beginning of the end of America. Check all the founding documents that were written when America was founded... they all reference God. We need to let The Lord back into our lives and our country.

As a Christian in a crisis of faith going on 10 years now, it is not so much God that's missing from schools (in my opinion), it's critical thinking, questioning, and Personal Responsibility that have been removed while justifying it with "Inclusiveness". It is removing that Pledge of Allegiance to the US and then teaching that our past as a nation makes us born evil and we need to make up for what people 5 or 6 generations ago decided to do. It is identity politics that try to put us in boxes instead of intermingled.

This is the pure unifying truth all Free-men and Free-Woman are craving to hear. WE THE PEOPLE are in pain and feel alone. OAM is pulling that pain out of our hearts with his art. His “Ain’t got a Dollar” and “Dogonit” is just as amazing as his other two songs.

I love your message - you are both as beautiful inside as you are outside. And he's playing a resonator guitar (the metal insert is actually the top of a metal cone inside which acts as a natural amplifier and gives an immediately recognizable metallic twangy sound) - it's also know as a dobro depending on the company which makes them.

Smart girl. Interesting thought process about Disney. That verse makes me think of my grandparents' property. They grew lots of vegetables, had grapevines, had apple, pear, plum, persimmon, and cherry trees. A barn and chicken coup. A couple of giant oak trees shading the house, and beautiful green grass around the house. My grandmother passed around 2018, and my grandpa passed March 1st of this year. Sadly my uncle sold it roughly a couple of months ago.. Makes me sick knowing that the place I grew up on will be gone forever now, and there was nothing I could do about it.. That place was/is my home.

This 62 yo man is really glad he found your channel. You obviously have a brain and I'm glad to see you both use them. It gives me hope for the future when folks such as yourselves are talking about things like this. People have become so afraid of offending each other that they are afraid to speak......about anything for fear that someone, somewhere will be offended. I realize that I'm probably not your target audience (62 yo white guy) but it doesn't matter to me, I will listen to the truth and have conversations with anyone regardless of who is speaking. None of us are going to agree exactly about everything but so long as we can talk and just as importantly listen (hear) to each other. We can do great things. The politicians don't want us talking to each other which is why there is all this division politics because then we find out that none of us are really that different. We all want to the same things and religion, race, politics and even age are just labels to try to keep us separated. Again, I'm glad I found your channel. Much love from Washington state.

One thing I think people need to understand is that when someone says they don’t want to be here anymore, it does not mean they want to hurt themselves. It just means that they just don’t want to be HERE anymore. That can be a place, a situation, or HERE, on earth. I guess it means that they’ve lost their will to fight. I’m new to y’all’s channel, yesterday I watched two of your reaction videos, Tom McDonald and Adam Calhoun, “Race Wars” and Oliver Anthony’s, “Rich Men North of Richmond”. I subscribed right away. Y’all are real cute together. There’s a lot of love between y’all at it’s beautiful to see. Here’s some unsolicited advice: * Never go to bed mad at each other * When you get mad at each other, in that moment it’s very important to remember that you love each other. It will help you to not say something you’ll regret later. * Spoil each other, not just with material things, like flowers or jewelry, but with a back rub or foot rub, or run a bubble bath with candles and have some quiet time with each other. * If something is important to one of you, it should be important to the other as well. Even if it doesn’t interest you, it should be important because it’s important to the other. (I hope I worded that right. I know what I want to say, but sometimes I can’t find the right combination of words to express it.) Y’all seem like really good people, and I enjoy watching y’all’s reactions, especially to songs I enjoy too. Have y’all checked out any ‘80’s Rock? Scorpions -Rock You Like A Hurricane Def Leppard- Pour Some Sugar On Me Twisted Sister- We’re Not Gonna Take It Anymore Have you heard of Stevie Ray Vaughan? He’s a white boy from Texas who could play his guitar behind his back. He played the Blues, and he jammed with BB King, a lot. If you do check out Stevie (SRV), listen to him play his guitar, but close your eyes and just listen to the sounds. My ALL time FAVORITE bands are: Lynyrd Skynyrd - Ballad of Curtis Lowe, Gimme Three Steps, honestly anything by Skynyrd is awesome. Bad Company- Bad Company, Ready For Love, they don’t have a bad song, they’re all amazing. I love the their sounds. They both have a very distinctive sound, with in the first few notes, I know if it’s Bad Company or Skynyrd or another band. CCR (Credence Clearwater Revival) Fortunate Son is good. I’m 53, (54 next month) and I was a teenager when MTV first started, it was really cool. The music is the ‘60’s & ‘70’s was really good, but the ‘80’s Rock (Heavy Metal to us) was phenomenal. Especially the Rock Ballads. I have very eclectic tastes in everything, but especially music. My iTunes playlists consist of Lionel Richie, Ozzy, Scorpion’s, Natalie Imbruglia -Torn, Tracy Chapman, Louis Armstrong, Patsy Cline, Mötley Crew, Alabama (18 Wheeler….🥲), Toby Keith, AC/DC, Breaking Benjamin, Kenny Rogers, Dolly Parton, The Judds, QUEEN LATIFAH, the Goddess herself. I loved her music in the ‘80’s, but her newer jazz sound is breath taking. Anyway I hope y’all enjoy a few of the songs and/or Artists I’ve mentioned here or in the Rich Men North of Richmond reaction comments section. May God bless you both with love and prosperity.

Appreciate y'all's reaction. Family farms and ranches -- it's hard to explain a connection to the land to folks who don't have it, but it's both a bit Native American spirituality and family legacy... Imagine your father, grandfather, great-grandfather all toiled under all seasons to tend to and improve the land, and managed to hang onto it from the banks and provide for you family year after year (4 generations, let's say 200 years) between both forces of nature as well as man (droughts, war [especially NoVA, Civil War], man-made crises [depressions/recessions/etc.], general rural poverty, etc. Effectively those acreages you are intimately familiar and know every nook and cranny and have memories associated with each -- and more legacy blood, sweat, and tears than you can possibly imagine... For more urban folks -- imagine your neighborhood (home and streets and parks you played in) is torn down to build some public works project, say a football stadium and associated parking lots. What had been a place of refuge now becomes a place of strangeness, effectively a martian landscape, due to greed... Everything and everyone has become a commodity to be bought, sold, traded, exploited. THAT's the feeling this song is getting at with the family farm being sold -- that land typically being as or more sacred than the family Bible is being liquidated for whatever reason (generally, financial desperation and/or selfishness or greed) and in so doing dancing on the graves of the giants of the generations who preceded you... Such a shame, and so terribly sad.

Loved reciting the Pledge. I was in school when we said both The Lord's Prayer and the Pledge. A court case ended the Prayer. God hasn't turned His back on America. America has turned its back on God. (Dobro is a brand. That is a resonator guitar and the brand of that one is Gretsch.)

People turned away and this has been in works for a long time. People just didnt care, ir was fun. But now they are going after children. Where do you draw the line? We are seeing the effects of continually rejecting our Creator and walking further down the path of darkness and great wickedness. Only God our Creator can heal the tremendous wounds and ripples of sin through our society.

Great reaction, I agree 100% about a spiritual war, they took religion out of the schools. This country was founded on religion. Regardless of what you practice. We all should believe in a higher power, especially the way this world is today.

You are absolutely right - it is a spiritual battle going on. Fight on the right side. I read the end of the book, and God wins.

Exactly, you two are very bright and 100% correct. When you take God out of people’s lives then our political system will become corrupt and that’s exactly what we’re seeing in the governments of this country and world. If we believed in God then we would elect people who care about us. Check out his new song Mama’s been hurtin. It’ll blow your mind.
