I love this. Its hard for me and the kids every time we butcher, I’m thankful for a strong husband. We give our animals a lot of love and attention, a great life! This is a fine example of truly praying over our food! It’s important for kids to be part of the process.

Just taking a guess, but maybe it's about self reliance. Which is what the government wants to take away and is apart of Oliver Anthony's song where the government wants control. Part of that control is not only what you think, but what you eat and how you live. Being able to raise, and process chickens is far beyond what most people can currently do and need to get back to. Especially when it comes to teaching your kids and giving thanks to the Lord for what he has given. But that's just my take on the video.
