This was a great movie. It had an original plot that was presented by using a single setting, only four characters(with one of them being silent, so she only acted with facial expressions and body language) and it did not rely like so many movies do on special effects, redundant and exaggerated violence or filler meaningless banter dialogue. The ending was one for the history books. I hope to see all the actors involved in this production in future productions. This dance scene and the lead up to it was well done. Bravo!!!

I'm here just to tell a little a gentle story. It goes like this: I saw this movie randomly on the internet, without any expectations, so at the end of it I realized it was a really great movie... after a few months, when I was watching the "Oscars" and "ex-machina" won for best special effects I screamed like a little girl. I felt "ex machina" growing inside of me, I saw it as a baby, no one knew about it and at the moment they said "AND THE OSCAR GOES TO EX MACHINA" I felt like a proud father watching his son graduating. I have to admit initially I thought the movie was moving kind of slow but then this scene came out of nowhere...and the odd placement of this scene was perfect. Great video, very alluring and addictive. I agree, best dance scene in a Science Fiction Movie, hands down. We have to give Oliver Cheatham more credit for creating a bad ass dance club song. If this doesn't make you get up and want to dance, then you are missing out. It's the song that's hot...the video is cool, not the best dancing, but in context with the movie, it's great. I love when movie directors insert obscure music into a scene which creates this byproduct of interests and obsession. People who may have never heard the song or heard of Oliver Cheatham or been to a club which plays this type of music find themselves enjoying it and even purchasing the song. Is the dog wagging the tail or is the tail wagging the dog? Is Oliver Cheatham the genius or is the movie director the genius? And then someone comes along and edits the original movie clip into this 7:33 minutes music video which is genius in itself. Art creating art creating art....

SPOILER ALERT!!!!! Nathan (Oscar Isaac), by the end of the film my opinion was that he was actually the good guy, the other two, AVA and Caleb were the bad guys. But that is because it's one of them films where a day or two afterwards you're left thinking about it, and that's my eventual conclusion! This scene was awesome as fuaaaarrckkk though :D
