NGL it was a gamble of a trade and there's still 6 years left, but so far he's been a huge part of our defence core. Showing like a legit top 2 D. Didn't realize he was more physical than advertised. And he's leading all defencemen in shots through. You got to think he's about to breakthrough and the goals will come...
@ThasisKidSamurie3 жыл бұрын
The major thing that I’ve see that he has brought is he is actually able to get pucks to the net from the blue line, they arnt always bombs but he is able to get them through
@seamusoleary37123 жыл бұрын
After the Erikkson fiasco, I can understand why there is some apprehension... but he's much better than Erikkson, and hopefully he can stay healthy for most of the next six years... Dmen can still be effective into their mid 30s in the NHL as shown by Giordano.

@@ThasisKidSamurie exactly, if our forwards can get to those loose pucks first, our PP will look a lot better too
@mattlau3 жыл бұрын
@@seamusoleary3712 no doubt he was better than Eriksson, Beagle and Roussel combined. But they all had 1 year left on their contracts and OEL wasn't exactly playing well the past 2 years. So it was a gamble. If we can get the 2016-17 version of OEL (or close), Canucks are laughing!

I'm so happy he's on the team, he looks like he's bounced back to the OEL of 4 years ago and bcuz of that I bought his jersey at the Home Opener, snuck into the Club Section and held up my new jersey (also my 16th Canucks Jersey 😅) against the glass, he saw me and decided to throw me a puck 😀

Was a huge fan of OEL in Arizona, watched him for years. I feel like management did him dirty, as well as Garland. Y'all gained a new Canucks fan with the trade of my two favorite players to your team. O's been solid all season, so happy to see him back to himself hockey wise. He learned to lead from on of the best in the game at wearing the C in Shane Doan. O's going to make a massive difference in that locker room. I love hearing him mic'd up because you always wonder what they're saying down there. Love to hear the chirpin.
