Dear Oliver, I watched you yesterday 28.4.24 as Smerdjakov (Brothers Karamazov), you were absolutely brilliant, so convincing. You sometimes gave this side look (in the kitchen) and it was terrifying. However, I have to say that I was deeply disappointed that Father Zossima was played by a woman. Don't get me wrong, I am not ani-feminist but this character is so essential in the Russian Orthodox Church. Finally, out of respect for Dostoyevsky, who chose a male figure to play it, and that wasn't just a coincidence.
