This is one song that uproots hidden feelings of sadness. I don't understand the language; yet the feelings he poured out are so contagious that my feelings of loss are evoked. May Tuku continue resting in peace!!

When am down this is the first song i listen to, i do not understand some of the words ...emotionally dont know what he was going through his mind to come up with such master piece. Countinue resting in peace,you are gone still lives amongst us through your music. Lock me up and play Tuku's music you'll find me alive. Love from Malawi 🇲🇼

It's an emotional tribute song to his son Sam Mtukudzi. He died in 2010 in a car accident. So in this song he's saying "Lord, what can I do when you've already done your will?" I can imagine the tears in his eyes as he was recording this song, even the whole band. Sadly Tuku passed away 9 years later after his son. May their souls rest in peace 🕊️🕊️
@philberthamandawana4058 Жыл бұрын
… Apparently in this song he was piling blame on himself for his only son Samson’s death. Samson was meant to pick Tuku up from the airport on his return from South Africa. Tuku had changed his travel plans but forgot to notify his son not to bother traveling to Harare to pick him up only to do that well after Sam had traveled. On his way back home to Norton some 40 kms out of Harare, on that very day, he was involved in an accident and died on the spot. So in Tuku’s mind, he might have felt that if he had notified him earlier, he wouldn’t have traveled, that way the accident might not have happened after all.
