Now this is what I call art. I really love the background music. Whenever that music is used in any video, I already get the idea that the video is going to emotional. This is amazingly & thoughtfully edited, shows the character journey of Oli, and I have to say that it's been harder for him than any other character in Arrowverse. All the voiceovers are perfect. I love how well put together it is; especially the part where Diggle is taking all the names. You did an amazing job ❤️😭 Why you perfect?

The Barry voiceovers especially hit hard for me because he truly understands Oliver for who he is. This breaks my heart. Truly. It’s so beautifully put together to show the hell Oliver’s been through, and how he continues to keep fighting no matter what. Oliver Queen is a hero- in the light of day and in the darkness of the night.

He does tell Roy Harper at one point within the television show that he, Oliver, is a psychopath- but in a roundabout way; so yeah, he's going to perceive himself as in a state of constant war for survival against the rest of the world... that explains an awful lot of his chosen actions when you break it down.

I just fished the first episode of crisis (spoilers). I had to come back to this videos and many other ones to reminisces on all of it after his death. I watched this show since it came out and I cant believe its over. At least he went out as a Hero, fighting to save billions.

I have always wondered how much Barry knew of what Oliver went through, besides the news you read about the island and his knowledge of the bad guys Oliver went up against. We know that Barry saw his scars, so he probably assumed Oliver went through more on the island than anyone knew. Edit: Does anyone know at 4:40 who Barry is talking to?

Great work, watching your video I wish the writers really did the same you did: elevated and developed Oliver as a hero. The truth is the show tried over and over to paint him as a killer and monster, and his greatest achievement was that he hurt the people he loved the most. The writers really proved that Oliver is his own worst enemy, and the only thing he can do right is to die to save heroes like Barry and Kara. I wish they did it differently, like in your video, that all of the suffering he endured was not for nothing and he really saved his city, that he dies for his city knowing that the people he loves the most have a long happy life in front of them, that he is really not responsible for so many deaths but on the contrary that he saved more lives and everyone who was around him didn't suffer but was really protected. Too bad the writers hate their character so much that they punished him over and over, that I really don't know how he continues. This last season he is even more breaking my heart even more seeing how even villains now blame him for destruction of their earths, and his offspring lived in fear and hate towards him.

In addendum; and I do have some degree of first-hand understanding of his particular cross: he does see himself as a threat to his neighbors- which's why he willingly excluded himself from the bulk of society: to protect his family *from himself*. He also perceives himself to be under constant threat from the rest of the world; hence if he doesn't at all intend to do harm he will mislead: as that's the kinder, gentler, means of self-defense; and really, to men like him, and myself, to us: those really are the only two solutions when it comes down to it. Neither is desirable at all, but it is always wiser to keep the rest of the world at a distance. As to why I'm not deceiving you now; that's simple: I have nothing to gain, and everything to lose, but by my own hand- same with avoiding doing serious bodily harm. If you manage to look for us, you'll be amazed to find a large frequency of us in self-defense careers such as military, or business executives- but in really boiling it down as you ought; you'll find that we really do look at the world as intrinsically anarchic; and we like it that way.

I prefer Oliver and Batman the most because they are human. They don’t have powers, so they have to adapt. They lose parts of themselves in order to keep up. Barry and Kara have powers. There is no disadvantage. THEY can be the true hero’s bc everyone else can learn from the original. They know what NOT to be. They learn what they can’t be. Oliver is THE example. No matter how heroic Barry and Kara is, they can’t be what Oliver is, the first “mask.”
