The only time a flashpoint didn't cause problems is when he returned to his original timeline. While it gives him things like his mother being alive, It usually causes a lot of problems for the rest of the timeline like Thomas Wayne being the Batman because Bruce was the one who was shot and his mother became the Joker because of his death. Barry doesn't torture people no, but his personal tragedies are the reason he usually makes a bad call. As much as he saves the world from cataclysmic events, a lot of the time he was the one who caused it.

But don’t forget that the phone he got from that guy after torturing him turned out to be a bomb that nearly killed Lyla John’s ex-wife and Oliver did feel guilty about it and then said that maybe he went too far and then Barry said to Oliver that he couldn’t have known that it would turn out to be a bomb so that’s not his fault. Also he defended Oliver when he said to Joe that his methods may be a bit harsh but he gets the job done and that he’s a hero. Don’t look at just one clip and jump to conclusions. In the elseworlds episode when they switched roles because of the reality rewriting book they started to act like each other and afterwards Oliver tells Barry that he thought that his life was better than his own but that incident made him realize what kind of problems he was dealing with all while being so cheerful and what he saw was only some of the problems that he had to deal with not all of them. To that Barry said that Oliver’s life was far more difficult than he realized. I watched both the shows that’s why I know these details. Honestly I think it’s not something that people should compare and yes I know that it’s fiction but still. I actually liked the t.v series but the crossover episodes were really the best. I’m not talking about the CGI or whatever I’m talking about the story.

Well, very different upbringings Flash wasn't rich n spoiled, he had family love and a lot of emotional assistance, and didn't have to do much "surviving" per se. He was also trained in a rather friendly manner. Barry also didn't have rely on anger and pain as much to improve and win battles either. Key word: "as much" Arrow had a spoiled upbringing with little consequences, didn't have much family love (to Barry's extent), and was trained in a manner where failure meant death and he had to kill a lot. He also had a reality check/shock at a late age. And he had to use pain and anger to move up in skill, finding a way to use them properly. Flash is more likely to snap, but has more control and gets control faster (RFlash, Zoom, Eobard, and Savitar). Idk if I got some info wrong, I havent seen much of Arrow and I also am basing this off the shows.

Berry just has a different class of criminal. Oliver has sadistic mobsters, greedy corporations putting innocent lives at risk and actual assassins come after him. Flash has bank robbers and super powered people who just want to be know as “the one who beat the flash” it’s not the same. Torture is not only unnecessary against the flashes enemies it’s pointless. Oliver has people that would do the same and otherwise wouldn’t budge seeing as they know how bad it gets if they rat or inform him so he needs to make them fear him even more.
