I’m pretty sure he’s gonna end up in debt to his record label, chances are he’s going over budget for these and if he isn’t returning the amount spent then he’s gonna end up owing them for it
@reesrowlands84304 жыл бұрын
Anthony Moro He won’t. I doubt they’ve spent that much and I’m pretty sure that’s not what they do usually in cases like that, they just drop the artists.
@chiefbologna57194 жыл бұрын
Rees Rowlands you’d be surprised, they also get budgets for the albums. The biggest example and most recent is Kreayshawn who performed Gucci Gucci, she never made a dime and actually is in debt for 700k. Of course she’s didn’t release consistently good music like Oliver Tree, but she reached a higher peak of fame than he has. Basically all I’m saying is, he could be in debt, but if he is not then he’s most likely leaving due to not making much anymore. It’s undeniable that he reached his peak already and it’s downhill from here unless he changes up something

It seems like most people are bothered with Oliver "killing off" the character and actually believe that the world won't see new music from him, but how many of you heard of, or tried to re-listen "Splitting branches"? With the context of what is happening now, if we consider that he adressed some lines from that 2013's release to his persona in the future, it sounds almost as strictly implied that everything was planned from the start and now he is going to return to his old style - "I'll be back when you're gone" from track "This is separation" (separation with real life him and persona maybe?), then there is "Artemecia I am gone//I'll be back, it won't be long", and this one is particularly interesting - I'll be back, revival Survival is key It's not for the weak It's fine though - as if he was stating that he will be doing music that will "survive" and gain popularity with this whole show going on, then to be "revived" again as Tree I'm pretty sure someone had already come up with that idea, because if not taken directly, many lines from both old and the new album feel like a dialogue between "Tree", who he was then, and Oliver, who he is now Besides, it was Oliver Tree who stated that he is done with music industry, he never really broke the character, so probably there is still hope

YO! Love this deconstruction. I actually have something to add if you want: Oliver’s early song “Revival” is about reuniting after a break up, as made clear by it’s connections to the song “This is separation” due to the recurring motif of “it’s easier if we don’t try” and “it’s easy enough if you try”. However, I ultimately feel that after all this, the song is a statement on the necessity of adaptability and evolution, which is what Oliver as an artist conveys, changing his style and persona with the times but always staying true to oneself regardless.

id love to see him incorperate ugly is beautiful into a movie, and Id also love to see him make a movie with a similar theme to his album. Exploring and expanding more onto the specific topics in some of his songs like a bad friendship or feeling like an outcast. Ever since listening to this album, I just keep thinking about what he's been through to get him to make such compelling lyrics in his songs (as well as the songs being good all around imo). when you listen to the album to entirety, you can kinda get this vibe from Oliver, almost like a story, and he's expressing how he felt every step of the way in each song. idk, I guess what I'm trying to say is that if Oliver Tree made a movie that were to take after the many themes on ugly is beautiful would totally be a movie id wanna watch.

Dude latest album was a straight banger too! Every song on the whole thing is great and I've very rarely listened to albums which had every song that was good. Most have like 5-6 good songs and rest are kinda smeh, but this one, man, total banger.

I think the reason why some people hate oliver is because he’s a social experiment. But that’s part of why he’s so cool. It was so cool watching oliver tree grow and now come to an end. Oh gosh I’m typing while watching the video and a giant piece of wood just fell on him. U okay? Okay he’s good

Jarrroood When he rescheduled ugly is beautiful for the second time all the replies on his community post were hate comments. Plus I just know specific people who hate him and talk about how he’s just a joke. But anyway I’m going to change the comment to “some people”

You should be glad he was able to even get the album out. People are focusing on him leaving but I think we should focus on the fact that he was able to get his music out there for us to hear.
