Man, I've loved this movie since I first got the video back in '98--the opening credits always pull me right in, with the best version of Casper's theme song EVER:):) Even though the singing isn't here (boo!) I still love the instrumentals! Back then I was 10 and it got me obsessed with red for a while;) I always loved Wendy's character and her friendship and sweet little romance with Casper, totally unaware that the two of them were a thing since 1954! I love the heart and charm and fun of it, and I especially like how they tricked his uncles and her aunts into meeting so they found out how much they had in common:):) Desmond Spellman is a GREAT villain, and how close he got to winning is amazing:)

I very first watched this film between 1998 and 1999. It's a very interesting movie and of course it reminded me of the 1997 animated film Anastasia. Wendy bears a number of similarities to the main character Anastasia. -Both are the main character of the story. -Both have a love interest. (Dimitri for Anastasia and Casper for Wendy) -Both have some company. (Pooka the dog and Wendy's broom) -Both have an evil enemy that's trying to kill them. (Rasputin to kill Anastasia and Desmond Spellman to kill Wendy). Desmond Spellman is a lot like Rasputin all right and the Oracle in the mirror is like Bartok. Fun film and I hope it will turn into blu ray very soon!
