The thing I love about their relationship is that they never push. They respect each others boundaries. Rusty went from saying he doesn't like to Sharon, to telling her he loves her. Not only is it absolutely brilliant acting on both their parts but it really shows, all it takes is 1 one to care to make all the difference in someones life. Rusty and Sharon's story isn't this good because of cinematics or even the writing. It's good because if you think about it, it could have been you, alone on the streets scared or a mother who sees a kid who's never seen a ray of hope in their lives. It's completely relatable and that is why this show will always be better than The Closer to me, They may not be blood, but they were meant to be mother and Son, This show deserves awards if you ask me.
