I saw this tour. I saw her name on the matinee of a club in Portugal while stopped at a traffic light one night, back in 71 or 72 when I was seven. I had no vote or power to make my father find a hotel and spend the night so I could see my favorite singer. I have gone to a ton of shows, and I don’t know why it took me decades later to see and hear her perform. It was a dream come true. Olivia, was a dream come true. A woman who made millions so very happy.

I think the switch from from chest to head voice in this version sounded great, and gave the song an added fragility and drama. Her vocal here gives me goosebumps. I never thought I'd hear her sing this song live, and I'm glad she did, and that she did it so brilliantly.

When you hear her on the car radio and she instantly becomes your favorite singer at age seven, and your love for her and her voice has only grown stronger fifty-one years later, that’s a testament of just how good, and special she was. Perhaps if she wasn’t such a fantastic singer, if she didn’t sing with such emotion, looked like a goddess, had that girl next door persona, or any combination of these, millions would have never fallen for her. She will always make me smile until my time is due.

@@BigBass-xf5yi It's finally available on iTunes ! :) The studio version, that is, not this live performance. Olivia released a remastered & expanded edition of the "Physical" album last year, and all of the songs from the "Two of a Kind" soundtrack are in there, along with quite a few other interesting bonus tracks. There's a CD/DVD edition, which is the one I got, but you can download the songs on iTunes (in Canada, at least).

Olivia’s Voice is so lovely now. Age gives her voice a new sound, vulnerable and heartbreaking and beautiful. Before my mother passed away in 2019, Olivia’s voice brought her so much joy.

I WILL NEVER FORGET THIS GREAT AND BEAUTIFUL TALENTED WOMAN,her contemporary voice was perhaps ahead of her time when she started, very melodious and that she did not leave her vocal context to exaggerate it. I took the meticulous modesty of looking for beautiful songs from some of her many albums, where the ballad genre predominates a lot in her, especially the melancholic songs. I loved these ballads first time round, I think they stand up better for Olivia to sing now than the 80s pop hits, they suit a more mature performer. And though her voice is deeper and a little fragile now, it's strong enough for these songs which can be performed differently without a loss of impact

Wow! When I was in high school I had this hopeless crush on this girl. We dated for short time. It wasn't meant to be. I listened to these songs. I remember on Christmas 1991 I listened to Suspended in Time and decided a "miracle" wasn't going to happen.

Wow, wow wow! Boats against the current and Shaking you live!! Didn't think she'd ever do them again. Sounds almost like the original for Shaking You and Suspended in Time. In some ways BATC sounds even better than the original cus her voice is fuller and more mature, and for the most part the head voice and chest voice parts are almost as the original for the 3 songs.
