God I just love her so much. This is just 3yrs before her passing and look how great--how positive and just absolutely radiant she looks. And she looked that way because she is/was that way. I choose not to believe that Olivia is gone,(even though I know intellectually she is physically no longer here).Because for me--and I'm sure to anyone who's reading this, she LIVES ON ALWAYS in our hearts! For me it's too painful to think of her as dead. She was SO INCREDIBLY VITAL and ALIVE --I can not--even now--think of her any other way

I first heard of her in the summer of 1973. I was a 14-year-old kid, _Let Me Be There_ was playing on the radio, and upon seeing her picture I thought, "Hey, she's pretty cute!" By the next summer, I was thoroughly hooked on the lady! 11 years' age difference and about a million miles separated a boy in an economically-depressed Appalachian community from this dazzlingly beautiful goddess with the golden voice, but at 15 when I heard _I Honestly Love You,_ I could honestly say the feeling was mutual -- then and now! Through the years, whether she was Sandy or Kira, chart topper or cancer survivor, getting _'Physical',_ or getting honored by the Queen with the title of 'Dame Commander of the Order of the British Empire', she was always that pulse-quickening slender young blonde with the beautiful big grey eyes I could get lost in, singing right to me in that sexy, whispery, girl-next-door Aussie accent. And she's just as beautiful today as she was at 25, when she stole the heart of a boy she never knew existed. All my love and best wishes, beautiful girl, as you battle yet again this terrible disease. We may never meet, but for what it's worth, this old boy from the hills is praying for you!
