This song is so good. The lyrics have so many extra layers that start to reveal themselves to you the more you listen to it.
@npats55011 ай бұрын
Regarding the lyrics...am I the only one who (it's the first time hearing it all), who thinks it's freakin savage in the best way? If it's about a certain person, because the style of it,(the punk rock chorus which imho, is like flipping not just the bird, but also flips the image of the, "pretty, cheerleader, prom queen, and ALL AMERICAN GIRL". The savagery is in the nice melodic, verse, are a number of lyrics that if i am correct have certain references to one (perhaps 2), big industry person, and if it's true I gotta say, I think with all of the dichotomy in there it sounds like either, 2 people or the proverbial angel and devil on your shoulder! I'm probably wrong though, but it's still a fun song!
@ShimobeSama11 ай бұрын
@@npats550 Yeah I can definitely see a little bit of all that, though I don't know much about industry drama. I think a lot of songs have multiple meanings or narratives layered on top of each other, and a lot of times the superficial layer will involve drama that the public tends to speculate on and gossip about. For me I think the key is in the "I pay attention to things most people ignore," and a lot of the subtext is related to whatever those things are that most other people ignore (because maybe they'll get D. Kennedy-ed if they notice out loud). I think it might be somewhat addressed to people that may or may not identify with her that she affiliates or identifies with regardless, which I can relate to, being similar to her, and a lot of this song is a form of self-advertisement and appeal to why she also deserves the same kind of love in spite of whatever it is that makes her slightly different, rather than being lumped in with other way different people who set themselves up antagonistically in opposition to that kind of love, and other things like that.

This seriously is one of the most artistic performances I’ve seen. She actually has something to say which is so refreshing. Just the f**king pressure everyone’s under!

Omg everything was on point? The facial expressions, the vocals, the little dance moments, live band. She also looked like she was really enjoying herself too!,

This performance was bad ass wow! The sound was absolutely perfect! SNL dropped the ball though as they didn’t pan back far enough to see her band. They are excellent.
