(SEE EDIT) Listen I absolutely love Taylor Swift and I love Olivia too, but people are making way too big a deal about the master recordings thing. Taylor got the idea from Kelly Clarkson who told her about how Reba McIntire had done the same thing. Just because Taylor’s re-recordings have been very publicised doesn’t mean that other artists haven’t done it before and that other artists can’t do it in the future (in fact, I would think Taylor would be on board with artists doing this). Stop pitting women against other women. EDIT: just to be clear, the main purpose of this article is say that artists have negotiated contracts to own their masters or re-recorded in order to own their masters before, it’s just that Taylor situation has been heavily publicised. Taylor has never official came out and said (to my knowledge at least) that she got the idea through Reba via Kelly (her daughter-in-law). That being said, Taylor had openly discussed in multiple interviews her frustration with not owning her masters and the situation with Scooter Braun and Big Machine all the way back in 2019 and said that owning them was something she always wanted to do. Taylor announced she would be re-recording her old records about a month after Kelly posted her tweet and a lot of Taylor’s fans think this is where she got the inspiration (apparently, so does Scooter Braun he apparently called Kelly Clarkson’s manager regarding the matter). And would it really be the worse thing in the world if she didn’t come up with the idea herself? I certainly don’t think of her _any_ differently because of it. I will still continue to support Taylor like I always have.

THIS! All Taylor ever wants to do is inspire other artists. I mean think of all the other great women in music in the past and the people women who rose up right under them. All Taylor is doing is helping to raise the next generation of women musicians. It’s no wonder Olivia wants to be like Taylor and there is nothing wrong with that. The beef is fake and even if there is a little tension it’s because fans and fandoms make it up and then that has an affect on the Artists, Taylor taught Olivia a lesson about giving credit where credit is due. Yes there are tons of sampled songs that don’t give credit to the originals but I think because this happened while Taylor was trying to prove a point, she needed to be credited on that song for it to happen. Some artist do reach out to the people they sample from, some don’t care to be credited and some do 🤷♀️ Olivia could have been where Sabrina is but obviously she did disconnect from Taylor for some reason and maybe it’s Just that Olivia already had a plan for the way her career is going. I mean Sabrina has already headlined a tour, she didn’t need to open for Taylor but wanted to anyway. Also I think the beef between Olivia and Sabrina has also been blown out of proportion due to fans

Can men relate to this even though she's talking about the crowd & girls resonating with the songs “It just makes me feel less alone in my feelings when I write this song about some specific instance where I felt this really strong way,” she told Willie. “And then I look out into the crowd and I see some girl who felt exact same way. It just makes me realize that we’re all so much more alike than we are different.” How do singers come up with the songs so quickly?
