@ronaldalexanderrolleston4361 She was famous before that. That's how she got the role. She was far more famous than John at the time. Her first mega hit was 1973( let me be there). Greece was filmed in 1978. John Travolta's first hit was Saturday night fever in 1977. Incidentally, he wasn't the first pick for the role of Danny Zuko. She turned down the role many times before John begged her to be in the movie.

Early March (?) 1981, I'm hanging with friends at the (then) Kahala Hilton. A buzz goes through the room and I'm guessing it's Tom Selleck, a semi-regular at the Sunday brunch. Instead I see one of the most stunningly beautiful women on the planet. My heart melted then and there. Olivia was on her way back to Sea Life Park for another photo shoot -- and I've always liked to think the album cover was shot that day. May peace and love be upon her family, friends, and fans. 💖

My heart is heavy and broken with the loss of Olivia Newton-John, who passed away this last week. Our world lost one of the greatest human beings of our time. When I look back at the era in which she gave such love and devotion to us with her incredible, amazing, voice of an angel from heaven, I always regarded her as one of the best of the best. And now we face a world without her gentle soul to influence, inspire, and help us feel better about the aspects of life. She will be so sorely missed. But, on the other hand, I’m also glad she no longer must struggle with her terrible battle with cancer and that she is finally at peace. But God Almighty… I will miss her so!! A legend. A true star. An angel from heaven. The best of the best! Thank you dear Olivia for all that you gave us for so many years. You will always be in my heart until my final breath. I’m hopelessly devoted to you! I love you…. I honestly… love you…

I can't believe she's gone from us?! I am glad that in 2002 (think that was the year) I went to see her in a concert! Her daughter sang one of her songs. She sang a Grease song and asked folks in the Shippensburg University Concert Hall to stand while singing it. I WAS THE ONLY ONE TO STAND and while she was singing it...and she looked at me for a moment and it made my whole year! LOL. she was someone I fell in love while from watching her sing and perform in some movies too over the years....I always thought she was dreamy. In the 2002 Concert it only fit 500 folks and everyone was pretty thrilled. I was probably 25 feet away from her. She sang to the audience, but it felt like she sang to each of us individually! So sad for the loss for her family especially...Much Love and Prayers!!! August 8th, 2022 today was 11 years ago my Mother died and now it's Olivia Newton John's death anniversary...how awful!
