This video will show the entire history of India from 29th century BCE to 2016. Due to their extreme timescales, the Indus Valley and Vedic periods cannot be shown every year, although every year is shown from 413 BCE.

There is not much written documentation about the previous empires. Writing full history books was not a concept in india before it was introduced by Akbar. Most of the information we have about previous Indian empires comes from poems and inscriptions about kings and gods or taxation documents.

The Delhi sulthanate was one of the best periods. They introduced many systems like tax according to the fertility of land, agricultural loan, calamity relief...etc. the best periods in indian history aare the mauryan, guptan, and the Mughal era. The. Mughals also tried to eliminate a lot of brutal things that the castism had in india..some won.. Some failed..like... They tried to eliminate sathi... Almost successed in it but then the Mughals decllinde and the Marathas came... But the Marathas was busy dealing the British later..

But inspite of that empire was welcoming all religions.... Krishnadevaraya incorporated many muslim generals in his vast army.... But it was when battle of talikota was faught, the real face of these allies came out.... When all sultans (bijapur, golconda, deccan, madras) got united and attacked aliya ramaraya of vijayanagara empire... When huge army of vijayanagara was at the verge of winning, the muslim generals of vijayanagara empire switched sides and killed his own ruler.... Later these fanatics plundered the world's most rich city(at that time) Hampi... Which now remains in ruins.... This is the examples set by islamic rulers if not all, most of them.... Even though I am a proud Tamilian, its wrong to say the Tamil kings resisted Mughals. It was only due to the efforts of our brothers from Maratha and other neighbouring states that the Mughals didnt have the finances or strength to reach Tamilnadu. Because of Rajputs, Maraths and other were continued to fight from invasions. Coming to the South they would have required large resources and large army to handle. So South had higher chance of winning from them. And Today many of Temple and culture is safe in the south.

Babur in his accounts wrote Krishnadevaraya was strongest king in Subcontinent not Delhi Sultanate. He defeated Bahamani sultanate and broke them into 5 pieces. Vijananagara resisted Muslim invasions for 450 years, finally they lost because of technology and backstabbing. They had no cannon, little cavalry to fight combined Muslim forces.

And I'm talking about CBSE books that were published when i was in 6th grade which was in 2000. Anyone saying it's not mentioned probably is from a different stream or never paid attention in class. Both CBSE and ICSE have all of it mentioned in comprehensive details. Also here's a free advice, don't live in the past. Look forward to the future. To be honest, South India was in-accessible to most armies because of Dandakaranya Forest which covered most of South India. The Cholas were conquered by their Neighbors - Pandyas, Chalukyas and Cheras many times. Wars were common during those times, To claim "No one conquered you" is stupid. it was simply like South India was a "Continent of its own". It had multiple competing Kingdoms there - Satavahana, Chalukya, Vakataka, Chola, Chera, Pandya. Do you think all these Kingdoms were friends ? Of course not, They waged wars just like any other Kingdom in History, So of course Tamils were conquered, But they conquered back too. Most of Central and North India simply were busy in their own Fights. No Army would march 1000 Miles spanning Rivers - Kaveri and Narmada and cross the Dandakaranya Forests to invade Cholas, Not worth it. According to the earliest sources. It is only recently that Hindu nationalists claim that the Abdali army outnumbered the maratha army. Look at the population of India and then look at the population of Afghanistan, it can't even be compared plus the marathas were on homeground. Also In the few years after this battle the Abdali forces even raided far away territories in Bengal against the British. But these are things you will only know if you read books of history and not just read a few lines on the Internet. Even at the time of Timur Shah Abdali when the durrani empire was weakened by internal tribal problems they still had the power to raid the punjab region.

Marathas lost the 3rd battle of Panipat fought in 1761 to Ahmed Shah Abdali and also lost some part of north India but later they regained control of Delhi and surrounding area.
