Ive done a little study of bioelectrical signatures of animals/humans in the wild, Ive noticed youre able to some way mask it a few times when you went hunting down south you managed to pick up game where local guys told you the hunting wasnt good but you and your buddy smashed it, I saw youre calm demeanor in the sea and it crossed over well whilst hunting in the bush, they have developed hunting clothing that mask bioeletric signatures so that game can't detect the electric magnetic field which they use for self preservation, youre able to do it naturally, the only thing I could understand it in my mind or a semi explanation is your underwater ability to blend in not startling the local fish pop which seems to have crossed over into your lad based missions, I just found it interesting, there has to be a correlation.
@olliecraig-primalpursuit5 ай бұрын
NIce observation. I believe it has more to do with movement that anything else. If having to move it needs to be very smooth and no quick movements. Having said that, the electric signal is very true, and myself and anyone else who dives down onto a reef with no intention of shooting a fish eg just for video or similar have some pretty crazy experiences. I had once such just a week or two which will come up on th enext video releases swimming into a school of snapper even with my speargun. We are at the end of the day, electrical beings, basically semi conductors and people/fish/animals can defintitely. feel out presence and vice versa. A lot about our bodies which we are yet to understand. I know the suits for hunting you talk about, they came into the spearing world too (HEX suits) now discontinued. Basically a microwave screen material on suit to block that electric signal. Good for reef species and such supposedly. The idea is interesting. And this is proven with Crayfish/lobster for example with the use of cray noosees/hooks made of stainless steel. Thats why they work so well, you can put them behind the Crayfish and it wont even move as no electric signal coming off.

Hey mate awesome vid was wondering what your favorite spear gun is for moki and butterfish
@olliecraig-primalpursuit2 ай бұрын
Thanks mate. You don't need anything crazy for those two. I nice 90cm Speargun single band would be plenty. I've always used @RobAllenSpearfishing Spearguns but plenty of options out there.

@olliecraig-primalpursuit cheers mate👌
@olliecraig-primalpursuit2 ай бұрын
@@two_gun_gageyt1727 Also length of speargun is normally dictated on where you live eg in more murkier/dirty waters or blue clean water and what fish species are around. I assume you are either in south island or wellington area? With a rob allen 90cm, you can actually convert the muzzle down the line and put a roller head on it essentially 'powering it up' and you could use that in Northland etc targeting kingfish etc. Hope that helps.
@two_gun_gageyt17272 ай бұрын
@@olliecraig-primalpursuit oh that's wicked man yea I'll buy a rob Allen spear gun I'm down in Canterbury so Viz is normally pretty bad but I found a spot no one goes too last summer I chucked a bearley in for the hell of it and seen 5 kingfish swimming around the berley and decent bluecod from the rocks surely them kingies are back this summer I'm super excited!
