hey Ollie I live on the tip of the Coromandel and know some really good spear fishing spots, I've just started spearfishing and KZbin, and want to learn the ins and outs of spearfishing so if you wanted to come for a dive in the Coromandel reply to this comment, that would be really cool experience to go out spearfishing with a expert.

Must admit, have come across and been watching your videos over the last month. Finding them better than anything on TV, streaming or otherwise. Your production is first class, as is your style. Totally respect all the work that goes into them and am amazed how you put it together so seamlessly. Am getting back into my hunting shooting and fishing after a 20 year break and it'll be back to school for me I'm sure, but going to get a set up pretty much the same as yourself. Used to be in the Mt Maunganui Surf club so love those IRBs. Been on a huge life journey reaching out further than I could have imagined but for now need to heal the mind, body and spirit, and what better way. Cheers again and am sure you'll get to wherever you're going in your dreams and aspirations.

This video could be just another (beautiful) spearfishing video, but your comments made it unique. All the information about what your doing, the gear that you're using, thoughts... that was really nice!

Pro tip. Lightly score the JDs skin, dry and give a generous salt. Skin will be crisper and fillet not roll up as much in the pan when cooking.

I watch your videos along with a local American and I am transfixed by them. I have always loved the ocean but for the last ten years just haven't got back in the water. The one curiosity I have is you dive around New Zealand. And we the only reference for New Zealand we have is of course Shark Week watching the world's biggest white sharks swimming around. Have you ever seen one and how bad are they really?
@olliecraig-primalpursuit Жыл бұрын
The Shark week filmed in NZ used to often focus around the huge whites which are at the very bottom of our country near Stewart Island. There are the odd one that cruise around the country but are very rarely seen by divers. I have never seen one myself

Mate, you should design a float boat to compete with the Wettie ones. Not enough of these hard ones on the market. Because of sharks I’d be hesitant to spearfish without mine. Big Great Whites over here.
