No offense to the great musicians but I miss Bill and Charlie. My First Stones show was 1978 . Peter Tosh and Kansas opened. Cleveland Stadium. Drove from Indy after we quit our Summer jobs at the gas station bc the boss would only give 2 of 3 of us off. Hash streaked with opium. First time I heard reggae music too. My god, I’m old.

This is another hidden gem 💎 ✨️, and I'm so happy that they are performing it. It's a song that people can relate to. In some of the lyrics, people either have witnessed it or they personally went through it, or they know someone that has went through it 🎉🎉

I'm not going to judge a performance from a cellphone or laptop. It's an entirely different experience when you're in the building - especially with the Stones. I do wish that people would vote for the Hackney Diamonds option when they're available. Where does the voting happen?

People pay thousands for tickets to these over the hill performers. Jagger’s voice, like McCartney’s, are shot. They no longer can hit the higher octaves, shadows of their former selves. Is it ego? Certainly not money that drives these rock stars. Yet people are still willing to pay for a show that never should have happened. I’ve seen them three times and they have gotten worse over the decades. My first show was in Albany, NY in ‘65 with 300 in attendance. Now THAT was a show. The band now is so full of itself, egos drive a diminished vocal ability. The band I grew up with is no longer IMHO.

These days they pay the bass to just follow along and kind of stay outta the way. That's the difference between the '74 and '24 stones. Bill W was a commanding musician who's masterful lines and sound were AT LEAST 1/5th of the sound. In spite of that they are still great.

in 1974, they were in their late 20s/early 30s. They are all 80 here, except for Ronnie. I mean do we really need to nitpick everything? Also this is just someone with a cellphone. And it still sounded pretty solid. Cell phones are notorious for not picking up bass. I'm sure this song they'll release professionally recorded and it'll sound better. Also, Bill Wyman right now is 87. Surely you're not asking him to rejoin the Stones and try again?
