Olonkho, Heroic Epos from Siberia. Timofei Stepanov's paintings. Ayarkhaan's music.

Today I had a plenty of time. So, created this slideshow to tell a story about Olonkho.
As I wrote in one of my blog posts, the Yakutia-based artist Timofei Stepanov (he passed away, unfortunately) had a great gift to illustrate Olonkho, the Sakha heroic epos, in one painting. And, one piece contained many small stories. That's why he was called the Olonkho story-teller in the fine arts.
To show those mini plots, I took many photographs of different parts/fragments of a painting.
Praise god, there is another great person named Albina Degtyareva, a founder of the famous Siberian female ensemle "Ayarkhaan". Once she sang a song dedicated to her daughters. Actually, it was a song about kids and her mother's love. But it came so good with the slideshow.
Song is called "My Heart" ("Мое сердце" / "Сурэ5им"). Album: Sounds From The Ancient Land Olonkho.

Superbe ! La voix, la ligne mélodique, la langue...tout. Les illustrations sont magnifiques et racontent beaucoup de choses étranges. J'aimerais savoir si Olonkho est le titre de l'épopée des iakoutes, ou bien si c'est le nom d'une forme de chant ou d'un genre de récit qu'on adopte pour raconter une histoire, chaque fois différente selon son auteur, comme un poème ou une chanson.

I like that very much. enjoy the pictures and the melody, and the best of all is probably the language. always seek for an opportunity to find sth in the Sakha language to have contact w. donn know well still but hope someday will know it better. Thank you, Bolot !
