Hsu Hao isn't even a bad character, no idea why he's not more popular.

Because the MK creators - particularly John Vogel - disliked him a lot for his supposed "lack of originality".

Personally I don’t get why the creators hate this man. He’s hell lot more original in Jarek and Kobra in my opinion. XD
