He then proceeds to do things for Misrak that he has ZERO obligation to do if he simply didn't care. There hasn't been a single couple in the original series so far that hasn't struggled with their relationship... however this is couple "THE" couple to ship from Nocturne so far. They know what the other stands for and constantly ask for the other to meet them halfway. What else can be said about being in love?

That last line was cruel beyond measure- he could have insulted his honor, brought up his cowardice, but to cut deep with, “you’re an animal that lost his soul long ago.” was entirely too much given he did it out of care & concern. Yikes.

It's a pretty charitable interpretation, especially since he said out loud why he did it. "I don't want to lose you" isn't a statement of concern, it's an admission of selfishness. It may have been a noble act, but the intention was purely selfish. He turned his former lover into a vampire for the same selfish reason. He put his own wants and desires above the wants or even basic autonomy of those he claims to love.

I feel that Olrox's actions were primarily motivated by the heartache and lonliness he still feels for his only love. Mizrak reminds Olrox of the Mohican........in a way he's convinced that if he couldn't save his beloved, then he can atone for his regret by protecting Mizrak. Will their relationship bloom into something more? Who can say. I just hope Olrox does find love and peace again. I don't think Mizrak deserves him at the current time in the story, but we shall see. 💜

Misrak is bound by his sense of duty. Vampires are bound by their theorist for blood. Olrox has not revealed his true nature to him so he only sees a vampire. A sexy vampire, but still just a soulless being devoid of any feeling other than a thirst for blood. The fact that he saved him should mean something, but misrak sees it as something more sinister. He’s actually being selfish because Olrox is protecting someone he cares about, but Misrak thinks he is beyond any ability to care about someone. Which one will survive to realize they were right/wrong?

Man, I just rewatched the series and I get the feeling that Mizrak never even liked Olrox. If you listen to their dialogue, Mizrak is constantly judging and challenging Olrox, or blowing him off. In their entire time together, I don't think I noticed a single instance of Mizrak liking Olrox, except maybe that time Olrox shoots a vampire with lightning.
