I've never seen DID stories like this. Which one was real? Tess or Jessica? I want to say Jessica but I've seen a few comments saying Tess was the real one and Jessica was the Alter.

Jessica is the real one as you say and Tess is the Alter. But they are both a part of Jessica so they are technically both real

Tess is not even remotely real she's one of the worst ideals this show ever came up with she's a complete s*** and just hateful unlikable character she's not a villain in a good way like Todd Manning is a scoundrel and one of the worst people you would ever meet but yet you still like to watch him because you love to hate him with Tess you just hate her you don't love to hate her she just sucks
