Thanks for posting. I love Martalie...MA and SH played so well off of each other. I loved them as enemies and rivals, but I would have loved it if the show explored them as frenemies.

Marty was sadly one of the characters that head writer Ron Carlivati didn’t do well by but hoped to fix before the show got cancelled. (He says this in a Locher Room interview).

really? He actually took responsibility for the trash he threw all over One Life? What about GH? It amazes me how he's now referred to as the best HW since being on Days of Our Lives, (which i don't watch) I put him right up there with Megan McTavish as the worst HWs i've ever seen! A person without a degree would have wrote better storylines than they ever did!

@@nothingbutsoaps2674 I don’t recall if he addressed other things he didn’t do well on during his OLTL stint, but I think Ron Carlivati is a pretty decent writer. The thing is that he’s often really good for about a year or two and then his writing usually falls off (this is especially shown with his GH stint - 2012 GH was 🔥). The guy does good at keeping his shows entertaining, even if the writing can be pretty comical at times. Speaking of McTavish, oddly enough, both of them worked at GH. This is a hot take, but I think that McTavish’s GH was the last OK period of the show before it truly became unwatchable. Yeah, it often did get too ridiculous, but at least it was still an ensemble show where you still saw the vets in action. Both are better than Robert Guza Jr. if you ask me.

Amen to that. And not ONE scene with RH...I say this in every post, but I will NEVER EVER understand why the writers destroyed this character. Marty could have been involved in the whole Shane/Jack bullying...or how about Todd/Victor Jr. Since they were both obsessed with her. There was so much they could have done...SH and her fans deserved so much better!

i hated but they brought back an iconic character like marty just to abuse her again and drag her through the dirt. marty and susan haskell deserved so much better. i live to see natalie get slapped, especially by marty and jessica. natalie should have kept cole's name out of her mouth. he killed eli because he thought eli killed cole and hope. plus, she had no moral ground to stand on after doing everything in her power to try to ruin jessica's life.

I’m irritated how fans stick up for Natalie when that girl deserved what Marty was slanging and more. Let us not forget how Natalie was when she first came to Llanview and how she hurt Viki and Jessica. How she went after Cristian while he was with Jen. How she kept at John when he was with Evangeline and putting herself in danger to get his attention. How she lied to her family about Jared and indirectly caused the downfall and death of Nash. How she kept the truth about Hope from Starr and Marcie. She never suffered any consequences of that because if Blair knew she would have tore Natalie up. Then she kissed John while he was with Marty and antagonized Marty while she was pregnant. Natalie stabbed Mitch Lawrence and John covered for her as did Marty. Then to top it off she slept with Brody because she John rejected her when he just got out of a damn relationship with Marty. Lied about her son’s paternity. I wish Liam was really Brody’s because that’s when the writers should have corrected the mess of Evangeline dying and her come back and reunite with John. They could have had the happy ending they deserved.

+amynyc419 no....but when a person loses a baby....the father of the baby...and her only other child....well...it can kind of push a girl over the edge...add that on to being gang raped and seeing that man on a daily basis because, correct me if i'm wrong i never watched this show back then, but did Todd ever pay for raping Marty? or did he just pay off someone for the others to go down for it? i will never understand how anyone can defend Todd....oh yeah! because lots of women find psychos hot. stupid me

+greenlee7smythe I hear you, I really do. And I can't imagine the pain of losing a child. And it would be normal for Marty to feel anger, pain and loss. However, as someone who works in the mental health field, you take time off, you take a vacation, you don't throw people off of roofs! Or attack others with a kitchen knife! It's not even possible! Losing a child would make one more sensitive more compassionate to someone's suffering. Add to that, that I have been watching Marty since 1993, her whole essence is about 'being compassionate to others who are suffering. And trust me on this, if she were to go Psycho it would have been around 1993-1994! But Marty didn't go nuts, she cleared her rapist of false allegations and then, gave him her blood. That is who Marty is. This is character assassination at its worse. I know for myself and many other Marty fans, we refuse to watch this crap! I see you're a 'Greenlee' fan...how would you feel if one day she turned into a serial killer?

If you want to know who the real Marty is, please watch stuff from the 90's and you will understand, why it is so devastating for true fans.

+amynyc419 lol Greenlee is a lot of things...but not a killer. if she did go crazy....I would have to see what her motivations are. but I see what ur saying. however some mom's do snap after losing a baby. she basically lost both. it was just one thing right after another. I mean it is kinda hard to make two characters rivals without one being bad or evil. idk I just think Marty lost her hold on reality. I took several psychology classes in college....crazy people don't know they are crazy. so she'd not take Tim off
