OLTL Todd & Blair - 2001-81 (Starr learns Max is the father)

I rewatched this vid. Don't people get it? why Todd and Star's relationship was so endearing. it was because Todd was lied to all of his life by adults when he was a kid and others as he became older and yes. he lied too... But Todd tried to never lie to Starr unless it was a lie to protect her from what he believed would cause her pain (but Starr always busted him for it she was Todd's lie detector!)

Viki never lied thats why he returned after 8 years & he trusted her " above all others" if blair never lied going back to the first baby lie theyd have been so happy. Starr was only 9 when victor took over but she came around. Blair even was up tomas touche knowing he took todd bekivered him to that cia compound where he lost 8 years & was tortured todds kids would have not went through so much had he been around. Victor treated them horribly as todd.

@@nattyps3160 Yet when Blair asks Todd why he called her, to save his life in the cabin, rather than contacting Vicki or Tea, he says, "Because you're the one. I know you care about me." She then proceeds to save his life. Blair staying with Tomas was wrong even if she wasn't going to be with Todd. But I understand why she would hesitate to be with Todd; lies like the Mafia scam, the dead baby lie and vengeful actions like keeping her clothes from Max's shooting to use against her. Along with his unpredictable, over the top, anger.

Out of mistrust, Blair lies through her whole pregnancy. Yet, once told of those lies, Todd forgives her immediately adn shows he badly wants her in his life. Blair, for her part, eventually forgives even the dead baby lie. Their forgiveness of one another is so loving. Todd goes on to make statements like: *"You're the only right thing i've done in my life." and *"I don't want to live my life without you." He also asks her to marry him 4 more times and refers to her as " The perfect woman". Considering all they've been through, and the pain they've caused one another, their forgiveness of one another, and continued love, is amazing!

Poor Starr...she was an extremely annoying kid but..Todd and Blair both really used her as a pawn between them her whole childhood. They used her as a way to hurt and manipulate each other. No wonder she was so mixed up. All she ever wanted was a real family with both of her parents. They both loved her but they used her as a ploy to hurt each other.

Once again that's very much untrue if anything both Todd and Blair who love their children and we all know that for a fact unless you're a little late and slow on the whole entire storyline and you're not up to speech if you know what I mean

Starr was a really cool little kid. Unlike 99+% of child soap "actors", young Kristen Alderson was a born talent. In contrast to the majority of child actors on soaps, who were so scarcely plausible and thus were given very little dialog, she was never one to be caught looking coyly at the camera (or whomever else was behind it), instead of the person she was talking to. Nor was she ever caught delivering her lines in a wooden manner. She was wonderfully believable, and because she seemed so natural, the fans of OLTL that I knew found her really lovable, in that precocious way she had. I suspect you saw her as "annoying" because you just didn't/ don't like kids in general, and preferred the wind-up toy child actors.

It's amazing that she turned out so well considering TnB's use of her to hurt one another. They loved her but she still got caught up, one way or another, in their battles.

There is no chemistry or sexual tension between Sam and Blair the actors portraying them. Why did OLTL keep putting them in a relationship?

The first Sam (with the mane of silver hair,) Kale Browne, was convincing, but though he seemed to genuinely like Blair, he was still pretty hung up on Nora. This Sam, (Laurence Lau), never seemed to have any chemistry with any woman on either soap I ever saw him in. I agree with you, it was fine for the writers to have them become friends, but not try to write them as a couple.

The writers went way out there on this story line. Mean spirited, OOC for the characters at times. Blair is at fault here for lying. But Blair said often that she was afraid. When angry, he'd kidnapped Starr before and he'd twice kept her from Starr recently, he seriously betrayed her re: Max's shooting and he began to frame her for Asa's "murder'. He has a vengeful streak and angers easily. All reasons for serious mistrust. Todd proves her right with the DBL, he shows everyone the cruel extent of the lies and manipulations he's capable of.

She kkows thats why hes mad & i dont blame him max literarally destroyed his personal life many many times chrck 95 when he gloated blair sucketed him & laughed in his face. Todd before that defended blair from everyne esp max. Watch 98 when max tried to frame todd b/c asa paid him too when todd knew geirgie as mych as viki did

Defended Blair from everyone?? Not long ago, he turned in her clothes, from max's shooting, to the police just because he was jealous. He fixed it later but it was still a serious betrayal of trust. Recently he also took steps to frame her for Asa's "murder" ;again out of jealousy and also a vengeful streak. Blair should tell him the truth. She's wrong. But Todd is no knight in shining armor and she has a few reasons to mistrust him.
