Quite possibly one of the last truly classic, haunting scores from an era of truly classic, no CGI req'd to scare you movies. Amazing lp brother Rich and one I've been waiting to stumble on in a shop for years. Still no luck yet but she'll turn up eventually! A rarity and a fantastic post. Hope all's well, ......REDRUM! - Lj

I once went to the Stanley Hotel where Stephen King was staying when he got the inspiration to write The Shining. It’s an awesome place to visit if you’re ever in Colorado. They even do a ghost tour. Great video as always!

Yes, we need to get that on the list also ! It just looks so majestic, sitting up on the hill top.. I can see, how it would conjure up inspiration !

What's the thing you put on the record at the start?
@olvinyldude6 жыл бұрын
That is a "Record Stabilizer" or "Record Clamp" as some say...For SOME albums, especially 70's, where the vinyl is very light/flimsy they will help hold them flat, to play much better..They add a little weight to platter, and can help the "Sonics" in many albums, ( different genre music,etc.) I find it makes big difference in Symphonic type recordings, and also, a lot of Rock albums..( Pink Floyd & such..I have a few where I use it ) Is not always big change, but can make difference in Bass, highs, and pitches .. Great question ! ( I am also going to put up Floyd in QUAD dark Side of Moon, "Us & The" that one sounds great in Quad ! Have great weekend, stay tuned, and Keep playing the music ! ! !
