Mate if the end credits were shorter then i couldn't enjoy all the great music you put with it. I think it's brilliant. Keep doing what you're doing i say. Thanks again for your great effort for our enjoyment. I really appreciate it. Andrew.

Cheers Andrew. What do you think of the new format? (I reckon I need to make the end credits shorter).

Shot fairly extensively with mine mounted on my Canon T3i. I was very happy with my results.

Thanks for adding to this conversation Louis, as I have had no experience with Zuiko lenses on the Canon bodies.

You can use with adaptor on EOS sensor x1. 6 or full frame.....

I bought one on CL many years ago for my Sony NEX. Got fantastic results with portraits. Ended up giving it away; when I bought my A6000 I bought another one from a local antique store. Lucky find!

Awesome video. I have this lens on my OM-1. I should use it more. I don't have an adaptor for my Sony mirrorless, but they're not that pricey on Amazon/eBay so I'll probably be ordering one soon. I love the dizzy looking bokeh! :)
@oly35mm8 жыл бұрын
Cheers Old Cameras. Do youself a favour and get that adapter. The lens is too good to only use on film.

I passed on so many olympus lenses because i didnt want another adapter,... didnt know they were so good

Regular modern 49 cap or a slide on 51.

Does this lens n put on a Canon t3i keep the same visual range?
@oly35mm7 жыл бұрын
Andreina: no, it doesn't. The T3i has an APS-C sensor which will make the lens a nice portrait lens (80mm equivalent). Lous R. Zurn (comment in this thread) gives it the 'thumbs up'.

Thanks again for your great review I have this on my om10 : ) can't wait to run my first film though it any recommendations?
@oly35mm8 жыл бұрын
That's a tricky one as there are so many great films out there. I'm a B&W fan. If you can still find a Kodak BW400CN you can get it processed easily at a minilab. For colour, try Agfa Vista 200 (or 400 if it's overcast). Both are very forgiving if your meter is a bit off.

guidelineuk if i use this to my omd 10 mark ii do i need annadaptor?
@oly35mm8 жыл бұрын
Yes you will need an OM-MFT adapter. They will set you back about AU$20 for cheap ones, up to about AU$150 for the genuine Olympus MF-2 adapter: www.olympus.com.au/Products/Accessories/Interchangeable-Lens-Camera-Accessories/M-Zuiko-Lens-Accessories/MF-2-M-ZUIKO-DIGITAL-OM-Adapter/MF-2

Mine is quite hazy/foggy compared to the 100 and 135mm Zuiko film lenses I have. What could be the reason?
@IkkeBareAnders6 жыл бұрын
I have a mint and clear 1.8 and a foggy 1.4. White fungus might have eaten the lens coating which secretes an acid that makes it blurry, like on my 1.4
@photoklarno4 жыл бұрын
If you shine a flashlight through the lens and look through the other end, you’ll backlight all the internal debris that can cause a reduction in contrast. Dust will look bad when you do this but it’s not really a big deal. Haze is caused by the lens’ mechanical lubricants vaporizing under warm conditions and condensing on the lens elements. If you see anything fibrous, like cotton or cobwebs, that’s fungus, which can grow when the lens is kept in dark, humid conditions, and can be stalled by regular use of the lens, exposing it to sunlight. All of this can be cleaned by a skilled technician, but fungus secretes enzymes which help the organism feed on its environment, and this can sometimes cause irreparable damage to lens coatings and surfaces.
