Please don’t quit KZbin. I found you I. 2016 after watching the Olympic trials and you motivated me so much and still do. You reply to me and it makes me the happiest

Your smile at 5:21 is contagious! So great to see it after all the setbacks you've endured. Also at 6:06 I half-expected you to say "I knew that was coming too, because I've done it before." 😂

I clicked so hard on this video lol!! So glad you're continuing with KZbin and gibing yourself a chance. While not KZbin related, this mindset is so inspiring to me (as a creative writing major with a full time job lol), and I'm definitely going to take the same approach to my writing this next year. Good luck with your continued recovery!!!! Wishing you all the best and I'll definitely continue to watch your recovery and KZbin journey and cheer on from the sidelines. Can't wait for 2024 to see you back in the Olympics again (maybe wishful thinking but I believe in you fully!!!!)!!!!

I do like the reaction videos. You did a great job. I have always enjoyed this channel. I do hope it works out to keep on going. I understand things change. Best of luck with your decision and I will keep watching as long as you continue to create videos for sure!

“You should have to pass some test to work out at the gym” 😂 my first gym membership required I do a written test and show in person that I knew what the equipment was and how to use it all, the safety precautions, etc. It was because I was under 18 and requesting normal gym access, but still.
@Steele_Johnson3 жыл бұрын
hahah that's crazy they actually made you take a test! honestly it makes sense so that people know how to stay safe!

I respect whatever you choose to do with your KZbin channel, but I do hope you know that there are so many people (myself included) that have drawn inspiration and hope from you and your content. I hope of all that you choose to do, you choose what is in line with the Lord's and your dream for your life. Selfishly, I hope you still create content that you are proud of. Praying for you in this year that you will pursue what God wills for you. Keep strong, keep walking, and keep doing what you're doing!

I appreciate the support over the years and the encouragement in this comment! I want to keep doing KZbin, but life gets so busy that I need to make sure it is something sustainable going forward!

I enjoy watching the older videos videos of you being you. Go back and look at some of your old videos, you'll see what I mean. They seemed spontaneous and fun, a glimpse into your life. Water skiing, going to the beach, doing stuff with friends ... etc. Now, like you said, you're training full time, working full time, adult life is starting to take over. You've got to do all the life maintenance crap and that takes time. You've got the cooking and cleaning, the grocery shopping, laundry, paying the bills, and all that really fun stuff. Add to that working full time and trying to train at an Olympic level and how much time is really left? Adult life kills that fun spirit that that was in us when we were 15 or 16 years old and replaces it with different, less pleasant things like life's responsibilities. Trying to make KZbin videos can be very time consuming, like a full time job, and it seems to me you've already got a pretty full schedule. Don't try to make videos that will make your channel grow. If people like the content you're making your channel will grow, otherwise, you may lose some subscribers but your fans will stay. I'd rather watch videos from you that are more like a photo album of memories as you journey through life as an Olympic diver than watch you do reaction videos ... but that's just me. The real question you have to answer is what do you want out of your channel? Are you wanting KZbin to be a money maker and have a million plus subscribers? That kind of popularity comes and goes. You're popular for a few years and then it's "been there, done that" and people move on to the next big thing. If you're really looking to move your channel in a different direction, maybe look at what these guys are doing and see if you can adapt it to your jobs. I like how they incorporate their lives and jobs into their videos. Captain Joe - kzbin.info/door/88tlMjiS7kf8uhPWyBTn_A Mentour Pilot - kzbin.info/door/wpHKudUkP5tNgmMdexB3ow

This was a good thing. Yeah, some of it was just fun, but you tossed some wisdom in there that just might make a difference for some young athlete who is getting the wrong signals from TikTok. Another good thing you have done has been showing your willingness to put the work into the rehab process. So many people of all ages hate rehab/pt after injury or surgery, and sometimes pay dearly for their lack of effort and poor attitude. My sister did not take her rehab seriously after hip surgery and now has one leg that is an inch shorter than the other.
@Steele_Johnson3 жыл бұрын
Thanks! It is important to put in the work into rehab! Rehab makes all the difference when you are fully healed.

Hi Steele, you could promote your new yt videos on your IG and give a "swipe up link/ link in bio". Have you arranged your Nashville new diving coach & training facility? Please vlog your move to Nashville (if you both want), even starting with the packing up. Lots of people identify with a big move, new house/apartment hunting etc.
