just my opinion but i think you're running out of ideas for your vids. if you want you can just make vids about up coming fights and tell us your opinion on them, who you think is gonna win and how. you can also brake down fights in how someone won or lost the fight and how you would do different.

I got kicked out of public school back in highschool. I went to this alternate ed (not special ed, basically just a building to facilitate online classes) where the actual bad kids went. They quickly found out that fighting there didn't get a finger wagging from the principle they'd just call the cops. To get around this if they had beef they'd go to this little strip of land off the property and bareknuckle eachother until one got knocked down

I'm kinda old school, and from Rio, so training techniques were very much hardcore back in the day. First day in BJJ one would often be put to sleep just to know what that was like, first day of boxing you get punched once just to know how that felt too before ever sparring. But that would be one punch. Straight up face conditioning seems like insanity even to me.
@abdullahibrahimhassan73012 жыл бұрын
But our coach does lightly touch our fave with pads on so people stop being blinking their eyes when a punch is thrown in their face. Then he proceeds to punch just mildly harder in the abs to condition them. I dont think he's doing anything wrong cause I now close my eyes less when someone throws a punch and am able to Dodge better, atleast thats what i fewl

I'm about to do my first amateur boxing match at age 32 on my birthday. I did Muay Thai for a few years and did a couple matches, but that was when I was 16, so I don't think the experience is going to translate at all. I just finished paperwork for Cyberknife in the process to remove a tumor in my brain that I found out I had when I was 17. I thought I would never be able to fight, but I finally have the chance. Does anyone have any advice for someone getting ready to fight for the first time as an early 30 year old? I am fully aware of how difficult it will be to have any sort of career in combat sports, but having epilepsy for 16 years almost, then finding out there is an opportunity to attempt something you've wanted to do since childhood, gives you a different drive to achieve it.

Hi Tony, As a newbie on Boxing, I have hard time to through punch in sparing. All I do is focusing on NOT TO GET HIT, so even if I start to attack, i through 2-3 punch and immediately return to defence. Is it normal? Is my fear holding me back? Any suggestion?
@charliezelenowski27012 жыл бұрын
I am not Tony but I overcame this myself, not just once but twice in my life. You are going to get hit. It's inevitable. I used to be so bad with this, I would turn my head away... when I first started I mean. What helped me was this. I was too focused on my hands. Once I learned to move my feet, so that my opponent couldn't simply just counter my pressure on a predicted path. (anticipation) I was landing and evading more, without any extra input afterwards. Disguise the angle with a jab or feint, don't just try and cut the angle right away. After that (I am talking the next time you want to use footwork like this without being predictable, not right after getting the angle) feint again but then go the other way or down the middle, maybe even lower your stance and go to their body or come over the top. The feint will eventually give your opponent away and you will find what works best compared to their reaction... Sometimes the best thing is actually to not do anything after a feint. You need to look where you are going (specifically the gap between you and your opponent, not where you're stepping) when you are entering for an attack that is at an off angle, which means you won't flinch as bad. Naturally. It's also good to stop you feeling like you have to reach around someone's guard, you cut the angle and then the punch doesn't have to loop as much. While doing this you want to keep things as short and tucked in as possible. You're creating a gap and an angle that your opponent didn't have his feet set to counter, that's the goal. I feel like a lot of people flinch and close their eyes after lining up their opponent on a centre line. If you aren't attacking from the centre line, you have to pay more attention to where they are. I know this is long winded and probably very hard to understand but I hope somehow it helps. Everyone may have a different answer though. It's what you can make work for you. Generally if it's just being hit that worries you, it will go with time and of course... getting hit.
