During the all-around final, Lee hit all four of her routines to win the gold medal, surpassing Brazil’s Rebeca Andrade and ROC's Angelina Melnikova. She is the sixth American champion in the event following Mary Lou Retton, Carly Patterson, Nastia Liukin, Gabby Douglas, and Simone Biles.

@@sinhueherrera8984 this is not true at all. Suni messed up on her wolf turn on beam (and didn’t do her 2nd one) which got her a big deduction on beam. Like yes Andrande messed up on floor, but if Suni wouldn’t have messed up on beam she still would have won 🤷🏼‍♀️

I feel like I would’ve been so nervous in drug testing. Being in a foreign country, you don’t know if you may have accidentally eaten some food or supplement that has an illegal substance in it, and waiting in drug testing for that long, I would’ve started wondering maybe I would’ve tested positive for something and had my gold medal taken away 😨😨 Especially considering the same thing happened to Raducan in 2000.
