Full replay from Earls Court as the bronze medal is contested in the women's taekwondo -49kg event at the London 2012 Olympic Games (8 August 2012).
Taekwondo is a traditional Korean martial art, which means "the way of kicking and punching". In taekwondo, hands and feet can be used to overcome an opponent, but the trademark of the sport is its combination of kick movements. Taekwondo is one of the two Asian martial arts included on the Olympic programme. Taekwondo made its debut as a demonstration Olympic sport at the 1988 Seoul Games, and became an official medal sport at the 2000 Sydney Games.

Since 2004, 49kg women Taekwondo brought Thailand a medal in every Olympics, Bronze in 2004 2012 and 2016, Silver in 2008. 2016 is the first Olympic which Thai TKD team got more than 1 medal, another was silver medal awarded to 58kg men.

That "raising the leg" defense is one of the dullest and most boring techniques that I've ever seen, It strips taekwondo of all the beauty, speed and dynamism that makes it awesome and reduces it to a 15 minutes boring karate kid crane kick like defensive match, what happened to the power, speed and accuracy of the old matches?
