Beautiful a year afterwards, thank you for keeping this available ❤ Papadakis and Cizeron just outstanding : the émotion is deep in their performance, beauty, anger, tenderness, despair...this bring us into an other world ❤. They are actually so much revolutionnary that you don't understand what they do at once. You take it for granted, you are even a bit disapointed, it was only that ? Then, after reviews, watching the care , the intensity, the perfect looks , the perfect movments, the idéal music they are living, you realise that this was not only a work art. It ' s a new way of dancing. Theirs. I will never see guys like them again. The best, ever I admired Sinitsina/Katsalapof, they were techniqually excellent, but, and it is still my opinion now, Hubell and Donahue were as well excellent in technique, and much better in choreaphy, l still don't understand why they were not second ! There is not another pair that could beat this French team as I see it. They are perfect in every way. The aesthetic, the way they look together, no other pair has that, the way I see it. Then there is no other male skater in all of ice skating, skates like Guillaume. Maybe I can't say the same for her, but together they are magic. The way I see it Virtue and Moir should not have beaten them, they for instance are too close in height, they just don't look the same.

Yes Guillaume is the outstanding male dancer. It ' s a joy to watch him move. But Gabriella, if she is not as flexible as he is, is exactly half part of the team, and blends beautifully with him from their debut. Besides, she improved a lot her skating skills. Just tell me : who else could dance so magically with Guillaume, with this precise and vulnerable grace ? For the rest l Do agree, they Should have won earlier, they were so much above any other team, for years, including Virtue/Moir, who were however, excellent performers. It ' s a matter of taste , Gabriella Papadakis and Guillaume Cizeron just capture our souls every time they dance. They take me to an other world, no team had done it before, ever I hope they will come back to compétition

It is amazing to see the art and reserch they made each time: it' s so new, so unheard of, that it takes months sometimes for people to realise how mindblowing their routines are, for instance when they won in 2016 in Boston the world shampionships, l heard very depreciating comments, from canadian commentators : this routine is one of my favourite, it widly shared now, almost à classic..

Could someone knowledgeable please explain the green and yellow boxes starting at various intervals beneath the technical score throughout the program?

So, each box represents an element in their program. After they've completed each planned move the box will reflect their success. If it's green, that means that they did it well and will recieve some extra points, or GOE which stands for points 'Gained On Element'. If the box turns red, that means that they failed an element and will have some points docked. If the box is yellow that means that the element is under revision by the judging panel and will be decided as either red or green. Hope this helps!

In my opinion, Gilles/Poirier had better programs (in my eyes, not necessarily the judges') in 2018, and they performed them perfectly at the Olympics. I kind of feel bad for them. They really thought they had a chance for a medal, and so did a lot of other people, including me. They were World bronze medalists last season, and they got big scores at Skate Canada and Autumn Classic this season.

Did Gabi & Gui change their first straight line lift?? IIRC, Gabi used to be in a complete upside down position when they did this programme earlier. I'm happy with the change though - the upside down one use to look kind of precarious and forced

They (and many other top teams tbh) are known to tweak program choreography as the season progresses to get to the best composition possible. Their waacking rhythm dance has gone through multiple versions too.

I agree. I wonder if they would have tightened it up if the judges in the team event hadn't accurately reflected their mistakes in their scores? The looks on all of their faces when they scored less than H/D was classic. They're not used to that.

I agree! The American teams had such an interesting and creative choreography and dances compared to... I'm not a judge but if I were one I would give Hubbell/Donohue the silver and Chock/Bates the bronze
