Olympus C-2100UZ - My Digital Camera from the 2000's

I got lucky early on and found this second hand for a steal. This was my first serious digital camera and what started me off as a shutterbug. Years later I found another one in the box!
Lets go through what's inside and talk a bit more about the quirks from this Year 2000 camera.

First time here, and eye drawn to the printer in the background. Always fascinated by the cartridge slot. I still have an Olympus C700UZ, same odd sound of focus on video, but for 2.1mp, great photos.

My first digital camera (which I still have and use today) is a Konica Minolta Dimage Z1. It's about 3 or 4 megapixels and is surprisingly good, despite being a Christmas gift in 2002. I had to superglue part of the lever that controls the zoom since then, but that has held up quite well. I've also got a bunch of 2GB SD cards to store single shots and 480p video QuickTime MPEG movie clips on. Such a nice camera for how old it is.

I love your HP LaserJet 4 in the background, I'm trying to find one in good condition. I think my first digital camera was a Kodak, or the Kodak was my second.

I really enjoy your videos. I had a friend with this camera way back whenm and I was always jealous of it, hahah. it was worlds ahead of my kodak camera and even though they had the same megapixel rating the pics from his Olympus were so much better

Is the mode dial/power switch falling apart on your camera as well?

I have one and seems like it eats up batteries (rechargeable NiH, AA)!!

that's normal. that's why I used rechargable batteries with mine.
