Was this filmed in 1080? What image profile did you use? Saw some really cool stuff. I find the digital IS is necessary to eliminate the warp effect on the wider ends of a lens like the 12-45.

4k30fps utilizes full width of the sensor? If not what's the crop factor? I avoided the Lumix gx9 due to crop. How is the video quality compared to the em5 mk3

Following the skateboarders I am handheld, from a bicycle. I don't own a gimbal, as we like to try and show the performance of the camera on its own. The IS is quite good for this class, though not in the class of the E-M1 III of course.

Was IBIS just set to Auto? I feel like the IBIS was fighting against you when you were panning and possibly that is why it looked jerky to me in a few scenes. Changing to vertical IBIS only may help but I know sometimes that is not an option in video, only in photo mode.

I shot in MS-1 which is both mechanical + digital. I don't usually do this personally, as I tend to avoid digital IS, but given the entry-level nature I thought best to shoot at the default setting. It's my guess, during that pan, that the digital IS is doing the fighting, as I don't usually see that sort of thing with just mechanical IS engaged.

hmm...I was trying to figure that out too. Or if the Auto IBIS isn't recognizing the camera is doing more of a pan shot and its fighting against the movement. I had asked about it and if there was a way to set it vertical IBIS mode to allow horizontal axis to be locked.

@@haknoo1981 a general point, but certainly aimed at youtube, I've noticed youtube has now started lowering the bitrate on some channel 1440p, so really it about popularity, makes sense though.
