Love your jokes 😎 always excited about eggs. Informative and fun, awesome dude, can't wait to see what you unveil. I saw some one on utube, the other day, when they got the eggs they separated them all and layed them in two rows on the same process you have done but it was cool to see how you do it.
@OlympusReptiles6 жыл бұрын
you can, but no reason to seperate if it isn't needed. In fact, while rips are not common, an egg can be ripped. why take a risk if you don't have to?

Thanks for the explanation on the q-tips. I don’t normally watch the clutch pulls, but I watched this one and the one after, but in backwards order and was wondering what you were doing. Maybe I should’ve went in order. Haha.

Hi guys! Got one question about incubating. I've read that water shouldn't be dripping on eggs. If you close tight incubation tubs, isn't there watter condensating on the lid, above eggs? Great video, as always ;)
@OlympusReptiles6 жыл бұрын
Correct on water not dripping! That is why we increase overall humidity in the incubator to help combat that. If you do have condensation forming, slightly (like very slightly...folded up paper will do) elevate one end of the tub. This will let gravity be gravity and the water run to one side and not rain down.
@LewiatanHPC6 жыл бұрын
I've read, that baking paper does well too, but the idea with lifting tub little bit is brilliant! Thanks mate!

What is that mite treatment? I'm assuming it's safe since your spraying directly onto bedding, so I want to know all about it. I'm trying to get away from prevent a mite.
@OlympusReptiles6 жыл бұрын
it is called reptile spray, can be found on amazon. I need to do a video on it and put in an affiliated link lol. It is made to spray directly on the reptile even.
@charlesjeffery11556 жыл бұрын
Can she take care of em herself (meaning the eggs) or do have to incubator? Like stay rapped around them for heat, n soak herself n her water bowl in take moisture back to the eggs for the right humidity? I've just always wondered why the incubator.
@OlympusReptiles6 жыл бұрын
Charles Jeffery they can. Incubator I can have a higher success rate though. I can also get her back healthy faster and ready for next year.
@charlesjeffery11556 жыл бұрын

The baby will drown if not embryo side up. When you candle them you can see the yolk center and the air bubble. BEAUTIFUL EGGS. I CANT WAIT UNTIL I DO THIS...I WILL CRY WHEN THEY HATCH. 😰😘🐍👍
@theofficialironwoman9945 жыл бұрын
why do you remove the eggs from the mother ?
@OlympusReptiles5 жыл бұрын
better incubation, better hatch rate, get the mother back eating quicker.

Q tip? we call them ear buds
@Ferla.Johnny6 жыл бұрын
Congrats guys , i have a few questions . 1 don't you wash the female before you put her in the new tub ? Fore the smell of the eggs? 2 what is the name off that product you use fore prevention mites treatment and where i can buy that ? And i also want to give you a tip 😀 i use a paper towel to tab gently on the head ,and then i can take her off the eggs without getting bit . Great channel guys
@OlympusReptiles6 жыл бұрын
I honestly have never been bit removing. But if the paper towel works for some, sounds good! You can wash them off, but I have found that a full tub change accomplishes the same thing, and all have gone back on food without any strange incubating the water dish behavior. It is just called reptile spray. It can be found on amazon, and is made to spray on the substrate or even directly on the animal.
@Ferla.Johnny6 жыл бұрын
Olympus Reptiles thanks fore the answer 👍 its good to now that it works by just taken a clean tub . I will try that for sure .and i will order that spray 👍 that with the paper towel was meant that I do it like that 😀😀 i was not meant to be ,that i now it better 😉👍 i learned a lot off you and your channel . Good luck with this season
@OlympusReptiles6 жыл бұрын
feel free to use the paper towel i it works, I am not trying to rip it. I just haven't seen it, and I always believe if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

@OlympusReptiles6 жыл бұрын
Brian Shrum higher hatch rate with completely controlled environment of an incubator. Alao, can get the mother back on food faster
@superchop56476 жыл бұрын
The only thing he had to do is lay them down flat on the same side, just a little to much
@OlympusReptiles6 жыл бұрын
hmm. some say side doesn't matter. i try to keep orientated the same. My hatch rate of live healthy babies is pretty good (like over 90% consistently good....actually last two years are 100% and then 95%). I also cut. Basically, what i am saying is I do it the way i do because it works, and works very very well. It may not work the best for everyone. Maybe i even make it more difficult, but it works. If someone wants to just lay them flat, I would still brace them. keeps them from rolling. I will continue to do it the way I do it, and I imagine many others will follow. Some also won't, and that is ok as I am far from the end all be all of breeding. But I would certainly not say that what I do is a little much.
