My new video from a dive trip at Gran Canaria. I used an OMD-EM1 with a 12-40mm and a 9-18mm lens.

Did you tested only video capabilities underwater (with protective case) or also waterproof features of camera? Thanks!

Hey!very cool video! Superb quality! How did you do your white balance? Always manually underwater or with a video editing software after? How do you adjusts for the different white balances (close subjects lightened by your lights vs. further away subjects lightened only by natural light)? Thanks!

Hi. Long distance without light @ manual WB (as far as possible because its a bit complicated underwater with OMD). Short distance with light @ AWB. But with the OMD you have to WB in the editing software too, especially the natural light shots because of the lag of adequate underwater WB capapbilities of the OMD. For switching between the different sceneries i used shortcuts via programming the buttons. So you can switch between a mode with lights and AWB and a mode without light and manual WB. But running the manual WB itself underwater is a horror because you have to completely fill the sensor with a neutral object which has to be really big or you have to get really close to it. But then you will get shadows on the neutral object an WB isn't correct. For now Panasonic or Canon are offering the strongest UW WB capabilities in video mode for specific models like the MFT GH5, lx100 or Canons G-Models or their FF DSLR's. Ahh...not to forget. As far as i remember I never used the specific movie programm.

PIX UNDERWATER thank you so much for this detailed answer!!! I already bought the whole em1 II and housing so can’t switch to gh5 unfortunately. But I will buy a larger white plate and try to have the best WB as possible with your advice!! Thanks!!

Uhhh...what the HELL? Ok, I think the video looks great, but why the hell do you have to keep posting the same damn comment over and over and over again? How about telling us what your eventual opinion was on this setup? Please. Anyhow, thanks for the video, which is pretty spectacular, IMO.
