Does the mantras really work? What is the proof that one benefits by chanting mantras

If you are looking for proof, then it won't work. When we really have trust in God, we don't need any proof, it will work according to individual need. But there is difference between need and greediness . If you chant or listen mantras with greediness, then it won't work, or it will spoil your life. Not only mantras, our sanatan dharma like that only. God and Mantras Gives strength to overcome the difficulties or problems. God will show the solution to your problem, you have to use that. That's why we are not encouraging Moodha bhakthi, all our mantras are sattvik, give strength and inner peace. All mantras has their own power, and different positive vibrations.

Yes it works. It increases your concentration and helps you to be in dhayan. One can do mediation without mantras also. But mantras help you to receive energy of mother Universe. Chanting plus faith. Also chant mantras of your isht God goddess will be more beneficial, as one has faith. All mantras help or doesn't help. It depends on faith. Meditation without mantras is difficult. If you can do without mantras. Then it is also equally beneficial. It depends on your choice and faith whether you want to do nirgun or sagun upasna. Again God is within us, either faith in external god or faith in ourself or inner god is equally beneficial, it depends on your liking. Not doing any upasana or pooja, following karma maarg only that is doing your duties right fully without any expectations in return, will also benefit, karma also helps soul to reach its final destination. It depends on person which path one likes to follow. There is no proof, with time our understanding increases, we become better person, we are able to decide what is wrong or right, which path to follow, mantras help to decide what is right or wrong, in the same way our karmas and inner introspection helps us to become better. After mediation pooja, one needs to do karma only. As karm decides our life. This planet is governed by laws of karma. But I get strength, valour, courage to remain in my right full , duty full karma, for that I need divine guidance or mother nature's care and love. This guidance can be received by chanting matras or also not by chanting but by only faith. I worship goddess. Pooja only gives energy or shakti of determination, but after having high morals, determination, I might choose to be idle or not doing karma, then it won't help. Karmas rule all, I might be having low energy,low courage ,or low determination, but I might be rightfully involved in my duties or karmas, then I don't need chanting. Its my choice. But these mantras definately helps in meditation etc

So nothing will work seeing youtube or books, mantra should be taken from Siddha guru and should be practiced as per instructions given, then it will definitely work. An alternative of mantras are stotras, kavachams etc which are diluted forms take more time.
