OM SO HUM - I am The Universe (3 Hr)

So Hum is derived from Sanskrit and literally means “I am That” . it means identifying oneself with the universe or ultimate reality. As we meditate on this, we realise that we are all one, we have all come from one Infinite Source, and a part (Ansh) of that infinite source is present in all of us. We are all connected.
“You are the same as I am” OM is the sound of universe. Om Soham ~ I am the universe, I am part of it, I am connected to that Infinite source.

I take care of my mom completely by myself...Alzheimer's...but her knowledge of Buddhism over the years is really "kicking in" at the moment where its helping the both of us. I am lonely and scared but my mom is happy and safe. She helped me for so many years and I had to protect her from othets that wanted her in a facility.

I have just discovered this to indeed be true. I met the love of my life who crossed over not even two years later. Since then, I have been communicated with from “across the veil”. It has taken some time and deliberate effort to get out of the deep dark depths of despair/grief; but when I’m able to surface, the synchronicities become endless. In a union which consists of unconditional love, in my opinion there is no harder “condition” to overcome than that of separation. I FINALLY have come to KNOW with my entire being and all that I am that TRUE LOVE NEVER DIES. I wish for each and every single one of you to come to the same realization in your own life. It has become such a better world for me since figuring this out. Wish you love, good health and a life full of happiness and wonder. ❤️

Soham literally means "He I", the implication being that God and soul are merged into one word, just as in Reality only One exists, whereas in illusion I, You, He, She etc are all seemingly real, but without substance so ultimately unreal.

It's a wonderful mantra but I disagree with your interpretation slightly. I t means yes, we all are born of the same Source but we are not "all one " while in this life. This mantra offers protection and mental clarity of vision as we navigate across the paths of others which can often take any number of forms including negative ones, including potentially traumatizing and anxiety inducing. They are on their paths , you are on yours and this is where I am now. So hum.

Why not identify with everything in the universe -- the good, the bad, the silly, the profound, etc etc? Is being spiritual insisting you are exclusively you? The Portuguese poet Pessoa said the same thing, that he was a million different persons in one... It's not really such a strange idea or even only an Eastern thought... Namasté
