When pronounced correctly, Om has four syllables and is pronounced AUM, beginning in the solar plexus and sending vibrations up into the chest. The second syllable - U - moves the sound up into the throat as the sound moves forward along the upper palate. The third syllable - M - is a prolonged syllable and brings the vibration through the upper chakras as the teeth come together to touch gently. The final syllable is the deep silence of the Infinite as the overall vibration rises through the body and into the Universe. When we say “all that is sound,” we are talking about the creation itself.

Kept my eyes closed. Headphones were on. Lights, fan were turned off. And then I can't even describe what was the vibe I got in this 5 minutes. So peaceful. So energetic. Amazing. Om is the only sound which can be produced at every frequency, I think thats itself tells manythings.........in early morning, after a bath chant it sometimes in very low voice(take atleast 10 seconds each time,the more the better) and feel what anybody can feel.........in our Hindu view it is the only name of God(known by a many names) and can do or give anything.

AUM is the sound of universe. The act of creation, maintenance and destruction in the universe is happening simultaneously which is why this sound is constantly there. This is like mongolian overtone chanting and singing. I used to make those sounds when I lived in Mongolia, and liked it a lot in my childhood. Still enjoy whenever it is possible. It is like transcending and imagining infinity at the same time.

Significance of OM Once upon a time there was a king, he then on a day passed a notice in his kingdom ordering that "any parent who is willing to send their children to king from this day onwards when he turns 12 and shall be returned to their parents when he turns 28 will be paid monthly rations" The king then ordered his ministry that all the expenses these children needed must arranged by taxing the other parents who did not sent their children to the king. He then ordered the yogi's of his kingdom to take and teach these children the significance of OM by making them chanting OM for 12hrs a day and taught vedas for 6hrs. Within 15 years over 3000 enlightened men and women were collected due to kings order. Those 3000 became scholars poets craftsmen priests with highest knowledge and perfection than anyone in his or nearby kingdoms The king was chandraguptha the place he collected these children was NALANDA which became world's first University producing kalidasa(poet), aryabhatta(inventor of zero) many other great scholars.
