I was diagnosed with Cirrhosis on 1/11/2022 after an Ultrasound and after an MRI both tests resulted with a cirrhosis diagnosis. Started doing OMAD and IF as of yesterday 4/11/2022 (90 days) I've lost 40 lbs and the Hepologist said yesterday I DO NOT have Cirrhosis it is now stage 3 Nash which is reversible. I was given a second chance. This stuff works, thanks Dr Mindy for all the positive talk.

I love OMAD because I felt so much better if I didn’t eat. I lost 40-50lbs with Dr Mindy 3 years ago and had maintained my ideal weight. I am learning (within the last year) thanks to my body that it wasn’t making me feel so great. I am now learning to eat again. Leaning into good foods when I’m actually hungry on certain days. We have learned so much!

@@maryfolks9368 Hi Mary. I just take turmeric, cod liver oil, vitamin C and D3 with K2. I started this journey primarily for weight loss. All the other benefits were a wonderful surprise. I remember Dr. Jason Fung saying that if you are obese, you don't have a nutrient deficient problem, you have a nutrient excess problem! 😆. And it turns out... our body fat is very nutritious! Our bodies save the best for us to use when we fast. I eat a variety of natural, real foods so I don't take a multivitamin. Thanks for asking 😃👍

@@DT-su8cq That does sound frustrating! Sorry to hear that. I'll have to say that this was the easiest way for me to lose some serious weight and I've dieted and yoyo'd my whole life. And now, I know I can maintain this way. But I started by giving up ALL refined carbs and sugars. None. Done. No more breads, pastas, processed foods, chips, vegetable seed oils, sugars etc. None! And I increased my natural fats like nuts, avacados, full fat cheeses, meats, vegetables with butter etc. I switched from a sugary, oily vanilla coffee creamer to using heavy cream and a sprinkle of cinnamon. It was very hard for just the first two to three weeks... until my body became"fat adapted" and learned to use fat for energy instead of sugar. But I started feeling better almost immediately. Then, after those couple of weeks I just didn't get that hungry anymore and I started skipping meals then went to OMAD. I remember when I was getting hungry and my stomach growled, I remember telling it to "shut up and feed yourself!....from my butt! 😂. And it did! Then, it just stopped begging me to eat and just switched to feeding itself from my body fat. Once that happened... the weight just started falling off! It was fun! Every month I was a smaller size! I shopped at resale/thrift stores for cheap clothes, knowing that I would be donating them back next month and picking up my new size clothes.😃. Honestly, once the magic happens, it's fun! Good luck to you and thanks 😊👍🙏

I started intermittent fasting 3 months ago. I found your channel shortly thereafter and it really helped me with my plan. I originally started an 18/6 plan. It didn't take long until I had to force the second meal to start the fast. It became easier to do OMAD. I'm 6' tall and was 315lbs. I didn't start out to lose weight. All of my labs came back out of whack. My kidneys were 58, A1C 7.9 and so on. My new numbers are an A1C of 5.8, kidneys are above 60 and so on. Plus I'm down 45lbs so far. I do try to mix it up by varying the time of the OMAD. I'll go 22 to 26 hours. On the weekend I'll try Friday/Saturday 12 hours then Saturday/Sunday 30+. I love your information. Thank you.

I am officially one of your One Million Fasters as of this last Tuesday (4/19/22) 1st day was a 15 1/2 hour fast, next 3 days were 18 hour fasts, and I am fasting now. Yesterday I ate in a 2 hour window, and I feel like I can continue fasting for a 20 hour fast today. I'm having an outpatient surgery on Tuesday... so im going to be eating light for at least a week after that. Then I plan to continue fasting. I have Hashimotos so I usually break my fasts as you suggested with seaweed snacks, 6 Brazil nuts, a 1/4 cup of pumpkin seeds and an avacado. From there I just eat whats available like a big green salad, clams or some other seafood, and any other veggies I have on hand.

Currently, I also mix in some 36 h fasts because I need to lower my fat percentage. 😄 Whenever I stall, a 36 h or longer fast is what I need. At the moment, I do 2-3 of those per week. After each fast I have a lunch and a dinner. And on weekends I eat whenever I feel like it. Works like a charm. I make sure to eat very nutritious foods and I never fast during my period.

Very very nice Dr thanks, I needed that. A lot of people don’t know that Herschel Walker former NFL player, did OMAD. At the end of the night he ate A piece of bread and a large salad. He Use no weights, just all calisthenics. Ate a drumstick every now and then.

100% agreed. Omad everyday stressed my body & made it slow down. So i switched to Omad 2 or 3 days a week.. non consecutive days or alternate days. My body is less stressed now, more metabolic flexibility (less plateau) & the weight is slowly coming off in a healthy way.

👋 Just completed 7 weeks of Ketogenic Diet OMAD and I am still enjoying amazing results. This is, by far, the best weigh loss regiment I’ve ever tried; I’ve shed 27# so far and I feel great. I will be on the lookout for any stalls/ hair fall and will try the 421 variation of fasting when the time comes to switch it up. Thanks for the information & inspiration, Dr. Mindy! 🌸

I do OMAD most of the time and KETO..I just eat normally with family and friends on high days and holidays so there is no fuss with others around my unusual regime and I don't need to talk about it and don't get grief off them about eating...so it works well for me. I've lost over 50lb slowly in around 3 years and feel great in every way and can move better with better BP and lipids. At over 60 now I feel more youthful than I did in my 40's . I take powdered fibre ( lepicol ) daily and add some electrolytes I think that really helps with OMAD plus lots of fluids ...I think that makes all the difference to make OMAD effective and sustainable ... I sincerely wish to compress my daily feeding window down to an hour per day but I cannot squeeze the mandatory daily nutrients into one hour......the daily berries, avocado, tree nuts, veggies, protein, olives, leafies, dark choc., goat's cheese, and 2 probiotic foods.

First off, THANK YOU! My wife, myself, and many of our clients have benifitted AMAZINGLY from your information over the last couple of years. Personally, I'm down 130lbs with 18/6-20/4-OMAD (we switch it up a lot). Your channel has been a major support for that. Here's the question (for my wife and female clients): How do these fasting forms work in respect to your video last month amout the monthly hormonal cycle fasting techniques, particularly for perimenopausal women? What you lay out here makes sense, but so did that video and they don't seem to overlap very well. Could you please speak (or respond) to this to help disambigualte the confusion?

Hi Dr Mindy! Would you consider interviewing Dr Alan Goldhamer? He is a personal hero of mine, as he's been pioneering water only fasting and then refeeding with the whole plant food diet since the 80s. He runs True North Health Center in Santa Rosa for people to do medically supervised fasts of up to 40 days, and conducts really exciting studies around fasting. Would love to hear you two in conversation as your advice of fasting around your cycle has dramatically helped me! 🤗

This video is extrememly helpful for me. Thank you. I have been subscribed to your channel for about 2 years. I really like OMAD and lost 35 lbs. I was within 3 lbs of my goal of 105, 5' tall age 70. Since I was so close and had so much healing but my hair became very thin. I figured I should go back to 2 MAD and sometimes 3 within a 5 hour eating window. I have in the last 8 months gained back 10 lbs. I was thinking I should do OMAD 3 or 4 times a week and 2MAD the other days. Can't decide whether to do OMAD days back to back or every other day. I will be doing 3-3-1. How do I do the timing for no food for 1 day? I can't eat anything after 4:30 pm, I still have tummy issues when I try to sleep.

For several more weeks now I now have been doing OMAD weekdays and 2 meals per day on weekends. Actualjy, this has given me the best weight loss. It's also the easiest for me and most enjoyable. Also on KETO. Also lately been doing bone broth mixed with veg broth for lunch, no breakfast, and normal dinner. I don't think the broth would break the fast, and even if it does, its still giving my body a goid break from digestion, and adds some minerals

@@carrikartes1403 Yes, noticed that dry fasts are more effective than water fasts. As for Israel having a low rate of Arthritis, this wouldn't be accurate to say. @@ellabraitman6336 between 2006-2017 the rates of arthritis have doubled in Israel but was still less than 0.2%. (rheumatoid) Compare that to Russia which is around 38%.
