I was diagnosed with CM Leukemia on 15th of May 2022, and Omah Lay miraculously I would say released the Soso healing song on the 15th of July of the same year while i was still bedridden... From the first time i heard the song, something good started happening on the inside of me. This song has helped me fight leukemia to lowest remission level I am currently enjoying... I listen to the song every day, it has become a part of my daily ritual... Beyond what everyone has to say about the song, I personally know how encouraging this song is to me... I do not know who/what Soso actually is, but all i know is that my pain has been taken away... More love Omah Lay

Thank you for your message from 2024. It's fascinating to look back at the incredible journey of Nigerian music and the impact of artists like Omay Lay. The music from that era certainly laid the foundation for much of what we enjoy today. As for the state of the world in 2090, much has changed. Technological advancements have significantly improved living standards and healthcare. Climate change challenges have driven global cooperation, leading to innovations in sustainability and environmental protection. Society has grown more interconnected and inclusive, and cultural appreciation has deepened worldwide. Rest assured, the legacy of Nigerian music and the pride you felt in 2024 continue to resonate with us. The artists of your time are remembered as pioneers who helped shape a vibrant and influential music scene. We continue to celebrate their contributions and the rich cultural heritage they represent. Thank you for your kind words and reminder to stay safe and kind. Your message remains a testament to the enduring human spirit and the power of art to connect across generations.

He killed it! A Grammy would be awesome. Gosh! This creativity is in the class of that of Fela. Too unique to be successfully duplicated. The repetition in the chorus, the call and response, the two step claps. Those are the bedrock of African spiritual chants. As a child I have experience watching my grand mother visit religions centre where dis kind of rhythm is being chanted for hours non stop.

Number 3 is a divine feminine number, it represents the Maiden, Mother and Crone (the divine stages of a woman's life and their essence). In this song he's begging a Goddess to take away his pain, the 3 Black female figures circle him and are Exorcising whatever pain within him. Black is used by most Europeans to represent evil but that couldn't be more wrong, Black is in the universe, in space, its deep and mysterious and both healing. In your mother's womb there was no light but you were nurtured and created in the dark, the blackness... White in other cultures represent grieve and death, he wears white to show he's grieving/sadness and the black figures paint it with different colors to change it to something else, they're exorcising whatever suffering is within him.

I can’t describe the things I felt while watching this video. It made my heart heavy and light at the same time. So dark yet so bright it’s difficult to explain. This is a depiction of the mind of loads of people especially in this hard times. So much anxiety and stress looming around the corners of the mind yet we are just all putting on a brave and ‘colorful’ face like we aren’t screaming for help and drowning on the inside. Omah Lay's ability to give us something fresh and timeless every time he makes art is something we really need to cherish more. He is good and he knows his onions co cap. Dope video and shoutout to the director .
