German machine guns in WWII didn't have box magazines. It wasn't until after WWII that machine guns had box magazines. They either had ammunition belts (bullets linked together) or drum magazines (German machine guns only. Also applies specifically to mgs only). Especially the machine guns in the bunkers on Omaha Beach. They used ammo belts that had to be carefully lined up with the ammo feed system to prevent jamming and damage to the gun.

The only reason operation overlord was focused on Omaha was because there was unexpected low clouds so the bombers on the other beaches like Juno or Sword went BENEATH the clouds unlike the bombers on Omaha stayed above the clouds cuz they were stupid and they missed every machine gunner on the beach

The thing that is super sad is that the Germans weren't actually bad people. Maybe some of them were but most of them were 16-18 year olds. The Americans thought they were very bad even the ones that weren't even with Hitler. The Germans on the other hand thought the Americans were bad, but they really weren't. However, today both Americans and Germans think eachother as friends, because of the war in the past. (The old ones, the younger ones I don't really even know.) Also, they were just told to kill eachother, so yeah.

Sorry for being late, but this is a great animation. The only problem are the U.S. uniforms, you can see in the landings the Infantry are wearing Marine P41 uniforms as only the Army Infantry wore M41 Field Jackets during the landings, this is just only for advice.

During Operation Overlord on Omaha beach, the Allies began with a naval barrage with artilleries and that wasn't mentioned in this video. The germans were not even alerted until they saw the LCVP. For a boat that big, there should be at least 36 troops in the LCVP craft but I only counted 6. And another thing, Germans did not use ammo boxes throughout World War II. And the Uniforms were a bit wrong, the Americans used the M41 uniform during D-DAY, and the Paratroopers were dropped before the invasion even started. What we saw is that the Airborne troops were dropped the moment the invasion started.

I don’t wanna be that guy but the Normandy landings were set in rain (I’ll go further in on the rain later) the Americans began their advance from about 5:00 AM or 6:30 AM, if you want to learn that the D in D-day stands for scroll down. The Normandy landings were originally set on June 4th 1944, though it had to be postponed due to harsh weather and rain conditions, since D is the 4th letter of the alphabet, they planned on attacking the 4th but like I just said they postponed it to June 6th.

One problem that I see is the fact that they are wearing the United States Marine Corps uniform since, it was the U.S Army that invaded Omaha. One last problem is how all German Riflemen have scopes on there rifles. Other than that the animation is pretty good since there aren't a lot of good animations on this battle
